Diz-e

I've made some small fixes, most notably a tile that was 1 pixel off and breaking the bottom border. The OP link is updated, and you can also click here to download.

Just to clarify, the files included so far mostly only affect color, opacity, and background of the main menus, the load screen, splash screen, and server lists. If you drop them in to override vanilla NWN or the Aenea GUI, it should work seamlessly, but I haven't tested how compatible it is with other popular overrides.

A lot of the IG GUI/icons will be something to work on with time (there are a ton), but I did tweak some small stuff. I'm a big fan of the transparent GUI so that will remain a part of it. I'm looking to go a bit further in what can really be tweaked both visually and in the code to refresh and enhance the experience, so let me know if you have any ideas or know-how in that area.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted as I continue to work on it. Oh, and I would like to point out, and give credit to, the artist of the image from which I borrowed, Mr. Peter Lee. You thought I painted that? Maybe on a motivated day.... heh. This guy is super good. The font tweak looks hot though right? That was me.

Update: borders to silver, cursors (may or may not show), health bar, quickbar. OP link has been updated to the latest. Please let me know what you think and what you would like to see.

Oh yeah, and I've also included DM client screens in this latest as well.

I would like to see new screenshots. I know, I'm lazy but I wouldn't want to start back-upping and messing with overrides unless I know fully what I'm going for.

It does seem cool so far.

SawyerTheCleaner

I wouldn't mind some screenshots too!

Takes a bit of getting used to with the transparent GUI, but now that I have adjusted.. I LOVE IT.

Nice work Diz-e.

TheMacPanther

Ive been using it and can attest to it being sorta awesome. Blows normal NWN out of the water.

More changes added, now with blood red health bar, which I think is a huge improvement.

I have a few screens of what it looks like so far, I will add those next for you guys. Give me more feedback so I can make it more badass!

MORE SCREENS

Ok, so I just realized that there were just a couple of files missing from that last ZIP file but I've reloaded it properly... so if you've already downloaded EFUGUI1_3.zip please get it again with the above link. Apologies.

And now for the IG screenshots. Keep in mind the GUI is shown here integrated with the Aenea colored icons (changing the look of the spell icons, most noticeably, and can be found here under Custom Content, Improved Icons) which I highly recommend alongside the files I've made. Even if you prefer the vanilla icons, or even other choices, for the most part they shouldn't look too bad. Also FYI, the screens were taken at 1280x1024 resolution, but reduced to 800px wide here.

Fullscreen with inventory and char sheet open, full health bar:

Fullscreen, dialog box open, close button hovered over in down (pressed) state:

A cropped image of the health bar at near death over a forest background (also you can see here the "greyed out" state of the player list button. normal hover state for those buttons is blood red like the health bar):

I am Diz-e with awesome!

Your artistic talent and creativity never ceases to amaze me.

For any aspiring PC faction leaders out there, snatch Dize-e up for this reason alone if not the dozens of others.

Thank you Diz-e, you rock.

The link for the latest version (probably to the others too) is broken;

Diz-e

The link may be sporadically challenged. Eventually I will have it  loaded to the Vault, after I finish the next phase of changes [rubs  hands together maniacally]. Looks like its working now.

Also, a note: if you are using other overrides and you want this full  GUI along with them, just install it after everything else and overwrite the files. It  does not conflict with any of the EFU:A overrides in any way.

Lastly, I've discovered that on some setups, you can get the custom  cursors to work by making this change in your nwn.ini file, under Video  Options:

Enable HardwareMouse=0

If it looks glitchy, or affects play, just change it back to:

Enable HardwareMouse=1
