Hello all!

I'm currently getting back into NwN (it's been an on and off favourite of mine since it came out), and I was recommended to try out this server. I had been checking it out for a couple weeks now, though I haven't gotten the chance to start yet, as schooling and personal life has been intervening. I'm thinking I'll be able to hop on in now though.

The last I had seen, it was still "Escaped from the Underdark". This change kinda startled me, especially the design change for the website. I was curious as to how much of the server has changed because of this (other than the obvious like setting, etc.), so I can get a better grasp on it again.

I was also wondering what types of personalities and character the server may be missing. I will of course play my own characters, but I do enjoy filling gaps. If I don't like the character, I'll end up making that one fade from existence and try again until I find my place on the server.

And thank you all (preemptively, though you all seem friendly) for the help and answers!

Welcome. I suggest you play whatever character you enjoy to get a feel for the server/setting, and to have goals that will keep you occupied and having fun.

As far as filling gaps goes, I'm sure people will chime in asking for more to join their group, or you can look around the forums for groups looking to recruit more people. Otherwise there are plenty of new varied groups to get engaged with in game.

Hi, welcome to EFU! I would recommend checking out the website in general, reading particularly the front page and history of EFU to get up to date with what's happened.

We have indeed reached chapter three, and there's been a lot of changes. However the Island is still the Island, and much can still be recognized.

In that case reading up the last few pages of rumor posts for EFU:A may be of some use. It's certainly not required, on account of your character being new to the Archipelago, but it may be of interest! Good luck.

Howland - Thanks again! I'll read through it.

lovethesuit - Thanks! It's actually a word, it means a "long drug-induced sleep," and it's usually used as a psychiatric remedy. Not in recent times, I assume. And that's good to know, I love getting advice as much as I love getting it too, so I may fit right in in that aspect. (Those two in's are bothering me, but I'm a bit tired.)
