When you successfully bluff him into thinking it cost 100 coins for the item he asks for instead of 50, he still reimburses you with 50 coins saying "Oh? I see. Well, here's the gold back..." rather then the 100 that you had convinced him that it cost.

This is the gnome sender npc for the quest to acquire order #42.

Edit: Although not related to the above bug, I don't want to spam the thread, so will just include here that the "Goblinoid Honorary Pass" isn't working either ^^ At least for me it isn't.. still having to pay the entry fee. Krie Marina is the character in case it's just a problem with me alone.

EfUA_undercover

This was working correctly for me 3 or 4 days ago.

Note to op: Maybe you just oversaw him giving you two times 50 gold? He doesnt give you 100 at once. He gives you 50 for the job, and 50 when you bluff successful.

xXCrystal_Rose

Hmm it didn't seem that way. I wish I had screenshotted it :( It looked the exact same as when you tell him the truth. 50 for the job, and then a bonus of 50. This was the same: 50 for job, and 50 bonus.

Porkolt

This has been pointed out several times already. I don't mean to be negative, but seeing as DMs have been paying so much attention to quests while the new system was being introduced, it seems surprising that this bug has survived all that scrutiny - it's a lot older.

Disco

I did it just now.. Got 50gp for giving him the item, and 50 for bluffing. I belive you get fifty also if you do not bluff him.

Bluffing should be a seventy five gold reward

Porkolt

The idea here is as follows:

Upon completing the quest, without bluffing, you are given a 50 gp reward, as well as a 50 gp refund for the items bought, 100 gp total.

When the bluff is made, it attempts to convince Fredoc that the 50 gp wares actually cost 100 gp.

Therefore, logically, on a succesful bluff, one should receive a 50 gp reward, and a 100 gp refund for the items bought, 150 gp total.

However, currently, upon succeeding on the bluff you are given only 100 gp, the exact same amount as you would not bluffing.

Upon failing the bluff, you receive only 50 gp: "Take the gold for the items back, but nothing else!"

Irregular

You know. I noticed this half a year ago already. I always figured Fredoc was just a nice guy. He was like; 'I know it costs 50 bucks, but for doing this for me, I'll give this guy hundred, all I have on hand right now.' - When you bluff him succesfully he's like 'Ouch, Its really that much? Good I had some extra to pay this guy, too bad I can't give him anything extra.'

I mean, This is a good example of where a person already is using his full good will to reward you, bluffing (effectively lying) will only disbenefit you here in the case you fail.

Snoteye

This should be fixed at last. The bug is actually two-fold: the reward wasn't meant to be gold but an item, so that you get 50gp + item for honesty, 100gp + item for successful Bluff, and 50gp for failed Bluff.
