So I recently bought a new computer. It runs great. It also uses Windows 7. I can play Napoleon: Total war with no issues, and it has a looooot of ram. Problem though. I recently installed nwn, but whereas I had no issue playing nwn on my Vista, I now have a problem playing it on my Windows 7. The issue is that when I hit Play, it goes to the nwnloader, then shuts off as if it wasn't even loading to begin with. I tried running it in all the compatability modes, and as an admin, but nothing is working. Any suggestions?

Were you able to download the patches?

What about bypassing the loader and running nwmain.exe?

Had these NWN issues, and loaded the game off the disk the first time or two, then got the short cut on the bottom bar to work. Followed the steps in those links and it started working well enough, except for the crash once an hour, but I think I just need to find the program that is conflicting with it. Best of luck.

Make sure you have it running in compability mode, or as administrator.

These are the usual issues with windows 7. When I first installed nwn on it I just made sure it was installed in the proper mode and ran as administrator, or in compability mode. No problems ever since.
