Druids know how many times a plant can be harvested before it's killed.

Rangers are warned when harvesting a plant one more time will kill it.

I don't think these two classes should be the only ones capable of knowing when they'll end up killing a plant as there are other concepts and faiths that are nature/plant related but don't necessarily fit into a druid/ranger classes.

I think it would make sense that PCs with EFUSS points in alchemy, herbalism, and farming can have the same plant diagnosing abilities as rangers and druids, depending on how many points they put into the skill. If none of those skills seem appropriate, maybe add a new harvesting or gardening skill.

It's a fairly major benefit of these classes and IMO should stay.It makes hiring a ranger to collect herbs, for example, a good idea.
However, a Perk that lets you see if you are going to kill a plant might be useful. It would let nature-based PCs demonstrate their affinity with plants, and unlike EFUSS would be a choice between it and other generally useful things.

Perk:
Green Fingers
"You are a natural gardener, and plants in your care flourish and thrive"
You can tell if you are going to kill a plant by harvesting from it

I was thinking a perk would be better suited as after all this is an ability of those classes so sacrificing another perk for this seems fair.

A perk would be good, too!
