Drowning is PVP death?

Drowning apparently doesn't let you respawn, as when you died it says a player killed you. In the damage log it says you kill yourself. So it counts as a unrespawnable pvp death.

If I recall, drowning is a death that requires someone to help you out, but has allowed respawning before atleast after the body has been dragged out. Not sure if location of the body currently can change it, but I'm 90% sure it's allowed respawning atleast after carrying the guy out of the water?

An issue I ran into a few times is if you drown and then between 0 and -9 make the save vs bleeding and stabilize - AND THEN take drowning damage - it counts you as PVP death.

ExileStrife

It's a bug.  But it's sort of an ignored one.  Nobody's bothered to fix it for awhile.  It's also kind of a weird thing in and of itself -- if you die from drowning...then respawn...should you be rewarded a full breath?  Because if you aren't, you'll just die again.

Ordeal

Makes sense to prevent respawning while your body is underwater.

Jayde Moon

Though it discounts 'respawn in a safe place'...

just throwin that out there.

Just pretende the warter is a big nasty ogre. You would need someone to remove your body from the ogre. Just like you would need someone to remove it from the warter.

Drakill Tannan

Not really. YOu can be teleported to the ziggurat mausoleum after being killed by the ogre.

This might discourage new PCs if tehy die drowning, mind you.

Drat

It sucks, especially when your the only one online and you cant reach a DM even on IRC. Damn 4th of july!

ExileStrife

True, it should ideally work for the safe respawn option.
