Quote- Changed Identify to identify a number equal to its spell level of unidentified items in your inventory

Question:  If a character is to have high lore in order to learn mysteries is the Identify spell useful anymore?

Is it useful for my high lore PC who is interested in learning the mysteries of the isle more-so than just identifying items to have the Identify spell?

My sorcerer is focussed on lore to discover mysteries and identifying items was just an added bonus.  With this change in Identify, is it still useful for lore, or is it now only going to help with items in my inventory?

In the past, I thought that it was a necessary spell to choose amongst the small amount the Sorcerer could choose from, but I am not sure anymore.  Fine for a mage who can choose the spell when needed but for a sorc to use up a precious spell slot for it ... I just don't know.

It's probably not very useful for a sorcerer, but on the other hand it never was considering the number of identify potions that are out there.
