Further changes to the illusion theme level 3 summon

Thanks for fixing it so it uses a decent melee weapon, but it really wasn't enough to fix the summon.

EDIT: Nightshadow's suggestion was better and easier to implement:

It's not always about making summon more efficient/more powerful. It is best just to live with that thought else you will be more and more dissatisfied as you try out more summon themes.

The thing with summons is that they have a specific use, but don't fill in every job.

These ones are excellent ranged summons, plus as illusions are immune to some stuff, but are rather poor when in melee.

Using the proper regeant at the right time is the tough job of a summoner. Don't expect a summon to be your all time partner though.

Actually, I don't know if this has been fixed yet, but I once PhK'd one of these archers a couple months ago.

These summons are meant as archers, they therefore should -be- archers, not run up and use a shortsword. Still, as the AI is idiotic and insists on using the inferior weapon, perhaps the following could be changed about it? Give its shortsword +6 CON/+6 DEX/-3 AB/-3 Fort so that it can actually do something in the melee combat it insists on getting into. Problem solved, imo.

Again, it's not that. The summon doesn't work as intended, if it did, i wouldn't complain.

LPFF, i understand they are meant to be archers and they are good at it, in fact, if there was some way they would re-equip their shortbow after they killed whatever enemy made them go melee, they would be perfect. However, they don't. You'd also think the going melee thing happens ocacionally, it doesn't, i haven't had a single of this summons in a quest or while traveling that doesn't go rocky balboa (well, they have a shortsword now).

This happens whenever:
1) The enemy is too close
2) There is no direct line of sight

So it is very common. This is practically a half-archer/half-melee summon, comparable to the summons that cast 2 spells, then go melee.

If there is a way to keep them archers, scrap this thread alltoghether and just make them use the bow, and i'll be happy. Honest.
