Kingsman's Public House
Fine Dining on the Isle of Ymph
By Marcus Snyder

The first place nearly every new arrival is taken to is the Dominion's finest (and only to my knowledge) eating establishment, Kingsman's.  One might expect a proprietor such as Vasard Kingsman who really faces no competition in his market within the Dominion to let quality slide, but thankfully such is not the case.  Rather, I believe the limited menu stems from the inherent dilemma of living on an island cut off for the most part from extensive trade.  I do not fault what few farmers work the land beyond the ruined city's walls, they are doing the best they can with the resources Ymph offers us.

I do have this to say, though: Kingsman knows how to run a business.  The service is nothing short of excellent, especially when compared to either the Wanton Wastrel in the Docks or the Hanged Goblin Inn.  The friendly waitress is always quick to take orders, wherever one might choose to sit, and she is never without a smile.

Lastly, Kingsman's is the only place on Ymph I've found so far that serves a real Cormyrean wine, of respectable vintage, I might add.  Of course, a variety of ales and beers are also on tap at good old Kingsman's place, and when it comes down to it, nothing about the place is quite so important as this.  There's an entire menagerie of creatures out there who place mortal men and women upon their menu.  I, for one, am grateful for such a fantastic selection of mind-numbing beverages to wash away the thought of them.
