Weapon Masters are great! I might make one that focuses on Quarterstaffs. One problem.

Why the 4 intimidate required? It seems to promote unecessary multiclassing. With all the feat requirements, couldn't that be removed?

Also, does their Barbarian speed work in heavy armor?

AKMatt

Barbarian speed does not work in heavy armor, nor will you get the damage immunity granted by EfU:A custom changes.

The 4 intimidate ranks likely represent the general impressiveness of a true badass, which is what a weapon master is.  It's not necessary to multiclass to reach the requirements for weapon master, you can hit it as a pure fighter taking cross-class skills by lvl 6.

The info on barbarian changes for EfU:A is under Information for New Players in a thread called Mechanics Changes or something, I think it is stickied.  You can also click the "Information" button above the forums to be taken to the homepage; there is a link to mechanics changes from there as well.

I know a straight barbarians skills don't work, but a WM gets Barbarian Speed at lvl 1 via the overrides here. I was wondering if that worked in heavy armor.

N/A

the intimidate=omg i am badass cutting you up with my weapon or crushign you in case it does bludgeoning damage or omg i am cutting you in case it does piercing damage.

but yea wm dont need buffs since it is a prc gained by hard work and killing stuff and completing challenges so there is a good chacne you will get loot for what you may believe may me mechaincall sucakges so ywa

Lol I am doing that right now gobbosapper (once I app that is)

the intimidate is to show off badassery. Just for badass purposes.

I wasn't saying they needed a buff, I'm just not certain what "seeming badass" has to do with BEING badass.

Question still stands, does a WM's speed bonus work in heavy armor, or do I have to run around in Chain too?

This was actually answered in a round about way by Akmatt, the first response. To be more direct, no. You have to wear medium armor or less to benefit from this bonus.
