Hells yeah!

Or you can try to loot him too ;)

Indeed, Dalman must be a billionaire by now?

I think it is a cool idea. Jumping straight into a plot to head to the underdark for machine research is okay but it should definitely be driven by something on the surface. There are probably a lot of secrets that connect the zig to the UD so rather than just making the UD the end game you should really focus on trying to come back out with an arsenal of information that can be used on the surface.

One of the coolest parts about being down there with our group from a month ago was that we were always being hunted and knew that our time was ticking away. Running minor plots to explore the machine and visit old areas basically amounted to death around every corner.

Essentially, my opinion is that you should make it a group that focuses on concepts such as how/why the UD is connected to this particular island; and, was there a bigger relationship between the old creatures of the UD and ymph? Rather than going down there to stay forever, the return and application of newfound knowledge should be the ultimate goal.

While I may not be answering to all the replies, I read them all and cherish the criticism. Thank you all for expressing yourselves.

I agree with Nufferz. I may not have been clear enough; we go down to stay until the goals are achieved. Remember mine was expressed in the original post.

There is something magical about the dark, damp, murderous dangerous surrounding surfacers in the UD that makes Good characters to put aside their difference with more vile characters to say together for mutual protection.  That is the flavor I totally missed.  Lets get this plot rolling!  :)
