ASOIAF IRC RP

Hey, so I'm tired of waiting for my PC to arrive, and I need a distraction. I was thinking of running an IRC game set in George Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire for 2-7 players. I'll be working from the Green Ronin version of the game, and running the module Peril at King's Landing. If there's enough interest I'll be running the game session sometime each weekend.

The game will involve a lot of court intrigue, Machiavellian politics and powerplays, but also present opportunities to win glory and fame by skill of arms.

You don't need to have read the books before, but I would prefer a few players who know the setting. Players will need to come together and create a group concept based on a noble house (non-canon), and can play house servants, hired goons, through to family members, just make sure you don't duplicate your functions (I would prefer not to have two Maesters for example). Keep in mind that I'm GMT +10, so players in European timezones might find it difficult to attend the agreed upon time. The fast play here should bring you up to speed with a lot of the game if you're at all interested.

If I can make the time, I'll happily put myself forward for this. As far as knowledge of the setting goes I'm currently about half way through A Clash of Kings, so I have at least a general idea!

I'll sign up for this.  I've read the books and have ASOIAF from Green Ronin.  I haven't had a chance to play the system, and would greatly enjoy it.

It all depends upon the time though.  I'm EST (GMT -5) and play a Campaign on Sundays (11 AM - 5 PM EST) with a few other folks from EfU.  

This is something I'd definitely be interested in if scheduling permits.  I have a feeling trying to hit a good time window will be killer for one of us though.

I'm considering running this through the forums, and perhaps doing specific combat action through IRC. I won't be able to start this weekend, but it will be sometime in the near future.

I'd suggest just skipping over Martin's pervy segments in the books, as it doesn't really add anything to the story, at least it doesn't transfer into the RPG.
