Not in the wastrel, but somewhere outside, yes. Like a burning pyre, a bonfire or something.

there is a nice pyre burning away already, why not just allow it to have stuff dumped in it :)

A junk pile that stores items until each reset would be nice too. They have two in the Gobsauat (in & outside the hanged goblin).
