I was thinking, with the amount of custom scripted potions and consumables on the rise (I am not positive but I don't think dispelling works on some of these.)

I would suggest we make some 2da additions for these so they can be treated properly as spells for the purposes of dispel checks, and also so they are treated like normal potions, since the 'Unique power' option takes a full round to execute. Not to mention it makes checking for certain effects a lot easier and more reliable when scripting, especially if an effect has parameters!

With a quick edit to the spells.2da and the item property 2da we could acheive these, players won't need to download them either, they would just see something like "Use : BadStrRef Single use" in the item's properties, but the Item should still work fine.

It also looks slighty better when in the logs too, instead of being flooded with " uses item's unique power" It would say " uses " Which gives players an idea of what people are using!

This obvoiusly shouldn't be a universal change, but I think it should definately be considered for some of the more commonly found/used stuff!

Mmmm... morning foggy brain. What Box says sounds correct from my limited experience with 2da edits and what not... Assuming it does work as Box says, and assuming that such 2da edits don't place too much of an extra workload on the dev team, then I'd agree.

Yes. It is a good idea. However, I`m sure the custom effects can be dispelled already, rather easily, in fact, as caster level is = to 1.

The only limitation is that you dont know they have been dispelled.
