Stewards of the Ark
Druids and Guardians

First things first; everyone loves perks so here are a few that can be gained from this faction:

1.   Plots: Personally guaranteed plots to run with if you wish or, of course, your own.

2.   Faction Storage

3.   Secret HQ & Secrets in general

4.   Pretty much be guaranteed to see the entirety of the island and possibly others

5.   Rich background that stems from the UD and has huge, direct connections to the island of Ymph

6.   Faction Loot

7.   Sweet opportunity to grow in influence and “rank” in the faction

8.   Plenty of conflict that you can either engage in fully or avoid while you do your own thing
^This one is big for those of you who find yourself overwhelmed when lots of PvP comes around and rather be able to stay under the radar and focus on other things.

9.   And of course, bad ass NPC back-up

A bit of Info

Druids have a lot more sides to them then simple tree-hugging as everyone likes to joke about. While their Oath to Balance is foremost, going about it is up to your interpretation. Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil are understood and valued by druids. A faction where your brethren can be of the opposite alignment and you could get along perfectly at times while at others having some great in-faction disputes. Druids are a fairly strong class that is capable of many things but of course, we all know they can be a bit frail at times.

Things to know if you have never played a druid and might not know some of their oaths:

- Druids may not wear metal armor or shield, or brandish non-druidic metal weaponry (exception is druids of Mielikki)

- Druids may not take up permanent residence in a city, castle, temple, etc, as this is considered a concession to the unnatural world

- A druid may not teach the secrets of the druidic Order and/or their own Circle, to any non-druid.

- Violation of a ban imposed by the ranking druids in an area may result in loss of druidic status. A 'ban' is generally achieved when all members of the local druidic circle meet to discuss an issue, and then vote on whether a ban should implimented. For example, if a local druid has slaughtered a village callously because the harbored hunters, the Circle may meet and vote on whether or not to place a ban on said druid. Likewise, a druidic circle my ban an entire area (such as a city) and any druid that willfully enters the city, while aware of the ban, may lose druidic status.

Enter the guardian. Not bound by the specific oaths of the druids but they do make an oath upon entering the faction to protect and aid the druids in their task. They gain wisdom and most times take their lead from the druids but this certainly does not put any restrictions on them. They are all considered equals and of course guardians not only can crush shit like nobody’s business, but their opinions are valued as well (Gaeseric for example). Rangers, barbarians, bards, sorcerers, fighters, rogue, and cleric can easily be under this. Paladin and monk don’t really fit. Wizard can easily be in it with a good idea and take on how said character would fit in.

There is currently only one active member of the Stewards and so it can be hard to always find everyone that is interested but certainly drop me a pm on the forums or on IRC to let me know and I will make sure to find your character to get things started. This is a certainty that I couldn’t give before but extend now.

Lascivious

You know Ky's eventually meant to become a Steward. Hopefully I'll be on tomorrow (today?) so that we can actually build on that. =D

IxTheSpeedy

I have RP'd alot with the current Steward in various characters and been around them even moreso with my current PC.  If you like mystery, being in the know and being able to wander the island and discover all kinds of amazing things, I fully suggest you go for a Steward.

Daemonic Daz

I highly endorse people joining in on the Stewards faction, when I was in The Stewards the potential for conflict with your own members as well as outsiders was everywhere.

Also if you've never played a nature orientated character then it is certainly an eye opener for how awesome they truely are.

Caddies

Awesome post for an awesome faction.

Thomas_Not_very_wise

Join. Because this will be the third time I am joining this faction.

putrid_plum

This faction is truely excellent I suggest anyone that has not tried it to do so!

Blake the Boar

I might be joining ... For the Uthgardt!

There seems to be a continual sense of confusion regarding the Steward of the Ark as a faction.

You DO NOT NEED TO BE A DRUID TO JOIN.

Any class may join, monks, and paladins, might have trouble joining though.

There is a major need for Nature characters right now. Especially Druids! If you play a nature type character there is no reason why you shouldn't apply to be apart of the Stewards, either as a Steward or Guardian.

The benefits are just too great!

Either make your nature character and send in an application.

Or if you have an existing character that is either hunt down all the defilers of nature and rip them to shreds or the I will make cutesy loving love to nature and all that hippie stuff. You should join!

Join up, this is one interesting concept!
