Better Shortswords

Handaxes with +1 dmg and bonuses are trivial to get hold of, dropping in a huge variety of types. There are also some kickass maces. There's only one +dmg shortsword that I know of, though. Yes, there are some cool shortswords, like the Concentration/Discipline one, but I'd just like to see a few with extra damage like for axes.

Huh? It is very easy to get +dmg, +skill bonus daggers recently. There's a 2-4 quest with one, the Embalming Tool, Wild Orc +1 Negative one, deflection ones...
I keep meaning to make a hin daggers specialist rogue to take advantage of the cool weapons.

It just seems odd to me how one light weapon has most of the good variants.

Orcan Assassin Blade kicks ass! Siver Raven Knife ... And Beastman's add 1d4 to animals and beasts!

A shortsword user usually carryes a clooection of knives, and there are many useful shortswords.

I say shorswords are fine.

Pfft  There are 100 shortswords out there, not to mention all the halfling rogues who use them. Battleaxes and warhammers now there is a weapon we need more of... Oh and longswords also.

Maybe you just haven't found a good shortsword. It's like when they told me about the overpowering druid equipment, yet i've found none.
