Bumped.
---
Well, there's no real point in hiding it back any more. This is basically a recruitment notice and followup of my "merry men of the woods". This is a basic outline of what I had in mind. If anybody is interested, please write here or send me a notice. WIll also gladly take any feedback on the idea. I definately think there is room for this type of faction on EFU:A; much more so than on EFU, given that the wilderness is actually inhabitable on EFU:A, and that there is supposedly much more support for player goals and initiatives.

If at the end of the week, there has been no response for this, I'll scrap the idea entirely. I am going to make an effort to recruit for this IC. Obviously, any DM willing to support this (provided there is player interest) would be more than welcome to. It is a bit loose, since I do not want to put down in rock what it's for, and instead want any potential interestees to help me shape what it'll be all about. If truly nobody is interested, well, then shame on me for making such a boring char and faction.

Brief Summary
The Black Arrows are a small, covert group of people who at every turn have resisted the forces of tyranny and slavery at the Ziggurat. Their methods have often been violent and of vigilante nature. John Black is the only publicly known member, and is publicly also regarded as the leader of the group.

The Black arrows are:
* Covert.
* Guerilla.
* Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.
* Slightly suicidal.
* "Pragmatic idealism".
* Not the shit if you want to join a faction to be able to pwn in PvP.

Why join?
Because you will quite instantaneously be flung into the complex and weird world of Ymphian government, faction and player conflict. Because there are a lot of great players in here, and some real nice RP to be had. Because we are constantly battling the forces of EB0L, and we're heroes. And we can steal while being it.

Suitable alignments are any nonevil (though Neutral evils may find places in the faction). Lawfuls may have some difficulty agreeing with the rest of the faction, but probably not impossible. Obviously, any classes can fit the mold. However:
- Druids may find it too "civilized" or too focused on the morals and ways of "civilization" and society.
- Barbarians of the "Gaeseric" calibre just might think that they are a bit too "weak", with all their guerilla hit-and-run thinking and so on.
- Paladins may have trouble comming to terms with the cloak-and-dagger way of life.
- Wizards may want a more calm, quiet, and not quite so dirty environment for their studies. They may think the rest of us a bit too impatient.

Why not to join?
I (we?) do not want people who are in it for the adrenaline kick, or who just want to play an unruly chaotic (basically, just want to be a troll). This is not a run-of-the-mill anarchist sewer-town gang, and if you want to play that, go somewhere else. Neither is this the place to get an easy ticket. So far, we've had some really close run-ins with death, and I would say entering here is a one-way-ticket to many of those. Nor should you expect any DM love or nifty loot. So far it has been entirely PC driven.

So how do I join?
Make yourself known IC. There's been some droppings of leads recently. I know, this is the problem with many factions - the mystery! But if you want in, drop me a PM, and make yourself known IC, and we'll take it from there. Especially since John is a bit more public now.

What am I looking to accomplish?
I am looking to found a faction to serve as an alternate focal point for RP, other than the Ziggurat. There are plenty of chars here who for one reason or another do not like the Ziggurat, and do not want to live there, or associate with those in charge of it. Yet not all of us are fit for the Druidic or Elven faction. This is for those people. An alternate, guerilla, mainly neutral (with Good traits) focal point of people who want to make their own way in the world, and primarily those with a wilderness- and/or "rogue" focus of their characters. Main selling points are outcasts, exiles, and similar characters who do not fit into the Ziggurat society.

Oh, and how many members are there of us so far? Major FOIG. But more than two, and less than fifty. It's a bit loose, since it's so far been much more of a "covert resistance force", but I want to take it a bit farther than that.

Please reply, kthxbai.

Well, I never got around to doing anything with this last round, but if anyone feels like giving it a go, it's here. If enough people profess an interest, we should have plenty of time and opportunity to take this places.

Editted a bit more to more fit what I want to do.

Finally got IRC set up too. Interested parties can go to #EFUForest.
