Wish you all well, but its just not the same anymore.  EFU used to be this terrifying place where you never knew when one of your closest friends in Discord (Or IRC) was going to help you along the path to making a new character.  Where the only passionate relationships were the ones forged in blood.  Where DMs would pop in on a quest and make you regret hiding behind that corner, or shooting an arrow at that one guy just in sight, or even just to make a dreary quest more interesting and to hand out a bit of loot at the end.  There are a few things I like about EFU now.  The classes.  Some of the quests.  Aspects and spell changes.  Other than this though, to me it feels like EFU has lost its way.

Now, there are some who will point to the slightly increased numbers of players sitting around in game afk, waiting for the next quest sending for the one quest that they can do during the current 12 hour period, or to how the server lights up when a DM event happens, and they will claim that this is indicative of a successful server.  But is it?  All the drama and excitement that it used to have, it's rarely present anymore from what I've seen.  It's been replaced by something I just don't care for at all.  So its time to move on.

Knowing me, I will probably check on this thread a bit here and there to see any farewells from old friends.  I've already left the discord though, so if you want to say hi to me there, you'll need to add me as a friend.  Magister7814

Take care folks.

Your pal Mag.

Hi Amelie

Sending you what amounts to a copy of what I have just sent to the Warmaster, just for your awareness:

The raid on the scald yesterday was very revealing, though maybe not in the way that you might think.  Basically, I think that the process of transformation of these Bronze Abominations is so terrible, that it is leaving a mark on the spirit of the animals that they are crafted from.

I know it's going to sound ridiculous; even I am sort of in awe that this is happening.  By examining the guts of these fallen beasts, I'm able to get some manner of feeling from the beast itself.  Some strange kind of empathy maybe.

To now, I have discovered the following clues:

There is a sense of something ancient in how they are being made.  I could see myself holding a fractured and broken thing within the span of my hand. I was struck by a deep sense of grief, though I could not tell whether this was my own grief at the plight of these poor things, the grief of the beasts themselves, or the grief of the one making them.

I was able to grasp flashes of images from the memory of some of the beasts; a road before it ripped apart and torn. A realization that it would never go home.  A series of tunnels passing by it quickly.

I am not able to augur anything useful from the guts of every beast.  It is decidedly random in how it seems to happen.  Furthermore, some of the things learned are occasionally seen again.  Therefore, it is of great import that all the guts found from these beasts be brought to me for examination.

Hi Warmaster, or do I call you Mirielle?  I've never had an official role before...

Hi Mirielle

Accepted.

Everything Vlaid and everyone else here has said, +1.  Grenth was the heart and soul of the Duunthall.  His passing has given Baelerie a purpose she likely would not have known otherwise.

It is inconceivable to me that I should be outliving all of these creative, young, people I've known for so long.   Safe travels in the quests ahead Zechariah.  Jesus.  He just turned 44 last month.

The transition out to the King's Commons does not appear to work, trapping anyone inside who decides to follow the advice in the changelog to go and check it out.  Clever Girl.

Suggestions / Reliquary Random / Quest
August 06, 2018, 06:27:18 PM
Being this random and it's contained quest are automatically in the module every reset (by my understanding), I fail to see the point of being made to hunt for it for the following reasons:

1.  It is in a random that requires 2 people to unlock, yet is basically a solo quest.  No non-priests can go on it.
2.  Many of the locations in which the random spawns either require skills that are hard to get for a Priest, or are in places of great peril that a solo priest likely wouldn't go to and survive.  At least one of the locations is downright inaccessible as a result of the random entry being up against the edge of the map.
3.  It seems almost petty to make it always spawn, but make people hunt for it if they want to do it.  If it's always going to be in the module, why not just put it somewhere permanent?

Personally, I think this quest belongs on the street of the gods permanently.  That's my suggestion.

Both of these stores now only sell Great Mauls.  Falchions, Short Spears and War Maces are no longer in their stock.  Has persisted over two resets at least.

General Discussion / Re: Your Most Iconic PC

Hm.  So many.  Cog Ippensher, Tr'issithra Zau Mournrahel, Sabah Nebt Het, Roarin Bilmfricten, Castor "The Fury" Erasmus, Sabra, Torvald "The Scion of Storms" Herjefodrsson, Danodel the Dandy-Lion.  One of them.  I think I personally liked Fury, Dandy and Sabra the most.

Add a Corpse Seller to the Withered Camp please and thanks.  Necromancers have it so rough with the hit and miss of finding corpses now, what with Thomas gone.

GSF Necromancy is supposed to add another die of damage to a Negative Energy Ray spell.  Vipers Fang Symbol as well is supposed to add 1 more.  Over the past few resets, this isn't working.  Tested extensively.
