I have family visiting for the weekend, so if anyone is looking to get their hands on Cecilia's 22 gold and CSW potion, they'll likely be disappointed by my availability for the next few days.

Maybe.  I think more players would be more inclined to use the extra spells to keep to their spellcasting theme (assuming that they have one.  Most that I have noticed do), while not having to sacrifice the ability to protect themselves in the slightest.

I don't know.  I feel like having more options would prevent more mechanical considerations from conflicting with style concerns.

I could be wrong!  Most people tell me this frequently.

Guided nature hikes FTW.

Uh...helping small time farmers?

Bringing surplus food and hides after you have to put down an entire herd of buffalo/mistlocke deer because of a grass blight that has put a heavy tax on the food chain.

Ummm...driving off road bandits, because you are tired of angry mobs coming trampling through the forest in search for them.

Brewing AWESOME nature-magic infused malt-liquors that, while you are smart enough not to drink them, make excellent bartering chips with the local village's brewery.

Yeah, I read that.  But while that's...okay...this would be better.

These might seem OP. And they might be OP, but these would be level 8 pure fighter perks similar to rogues.

Mastery of Defense
You consistently have plunged into the deepest bloodshed of the fray, but unlike many others, you have returned alive.

- +1 dodge AC (persistent)
- 1x/day DR 20/+3 for 5 rounds.

Master of Single Combat
Two man enter, one man leave.

- 1x/day +2/+2 against a single marked target(probably target race), lasts for 10 rounds.
- 1x/day Suffer -75% movement speed, afflict target with -75% movement speed, lasts for 3 rounds (using tactics to prevent escape of single enemy).

Master of Command
Your presence on the field of battle strikes awe into ally and enemy alike.

- +5 intimidate (persistent)
- 1x/day Battletide (as clerical spell) for 8 rounds.

Well the idea was for a druid or ranger to be able to "Take ownership" of a wilderness area, without having to sit there all day long.  Alarm would let him take ownership of one bush.  :(

Still, a voice command like /c signal or something that would reveal you to a target or to all allies might be worth considering.

My two cents!

I don't necessarily think it should do more damage, but I would think it would be much more excellent if it did 1 or 1d2 str/con damage per round, for a duration of round/level or something.  That way, it COULD (theoretically) be awesome or completely useless.  Plus, then you could Darth Vader choke people...

The system I have always thought would be best is that each quest gave a significantly larger XP payout on completion, but only once per quest, permanently. That way, the only way to reach "max level" would be to do every single quest in the module.

Doing a quest repeatedly every day would only be useful for gear/loot and fun with your team.

That way, non powerquesters would be average level without the grind, and powerquesters could STILL be mechanically more powerful than their less crush devoted servermates, but people who would rather plot and RP could do so without being at a terrifying disadvantage of levels, when conflict time arose.

But then I suppose that SOME cawazy few would just do every quest in 1 day...sigh...that WOULD be lame, wouldn't it...Grind it is!
