Hi, been a bit!

The Acolytes and I have been hard at work finding the best place for the Spider Ranch- we think the valley outside the Tablet, left of the Rose Gate, would be the best spot! Our reasons for it are as such-

-The valleys provide the spiders protection from storms, and they can easily make spiderwebs between the valley.
-It's close to the Well, and easy to access and man!
-The natural terrain means covers for what construction would require, and could make this even more affordable!

I'd like to hear back from you as soon as possible on this, so we can discuss the next stage of the Spider Ranch!

Hi, nice to write to you!

I spoke deeply with Sergeant Daoud on possible assistance to the war effort against Iakmes, and he and I and the Balestriere Mirielle concocted a plan that may have some use in skirmishes and battles.

You see, the silk of spiders is very durable- you may have noticed how difficult it is to break it off when captured within its webs, and it can't be cut very easily with a blade at all. Furthermore, spiders can produce a gunkier, 'sticky' silk that can stop orcs in their tracks, and control the battlefield.

These methods have never been exploited, for many reasons. Few know how to delicately care for a nesting spider. Many fear spiders, due to their uncanny shape and movements.

But I know all methods of spidercare.

What I propose is a spider ranch, consisting of a few breeding pairs of Giant Spiders, silkweavers, with which to provide food, shelter, and comfort, in exchange we shall harvest their excess spiderwebs and weave them however we wish. There are MANY benefits to spidersilk that have not been explored, and I've listed out just a few of their many great applications.

BENEFITS OF SPIDER SILK
-Potent undershirt for any soldier, akin to chainlink armor- but infinitely lighter! The druidic art of 'Spiderskin', which has saved my life and the life of my companions numerous times, can attest to this.
-Very useful for ropemaking, for whatever worth one needs rope for, web does it better!
-Trapmaking potential in creating nets and tangles to control our enemy's paths and trap them!
-Comfortable application outside war- delicate and beautiful material for clothing, dresses, and satchels that won't break.
-In the long-term, silk would be a potent export with the other nations of the sands- provided the project is expanded well.

Currently, the primary stopgap of the Spider Ranch plan is a manner of housing for the spiders. I have been suggested the disused Stadium could work well for housing, though smaller locations are currently being scouted out. Spidersilk production will boost with greater housing.

Please write back as soon as you can, honored Legate!

Suggestions / Divination Spells for Druids
May 06, 2024, 02:42:53 AM
With Celestial Charter giving Spell Focus: Divination at Level 8, it's a little strange that Druids only get a single Divination spell that doesn't get affected at all by SF:D. Even just two or three spells sprinkled in there to justify the perk's 'final stage' would be wonderful.

Sister Amelie, Touched by Kula

I thank you for helping me through getting used to the Well, and for what you've shown me, and I apologize for my aid in the auction those days ago being pithy and meager. If I may, I have a single request.

This is the land the Pilgrim shall land upon- I wish to learn how this has moved the hearts of its denizens. Are there any in the Well I should seek, those who know the Cupholder's legacy, and what it truly means? Even if all they possess are opinions, I would seek them.

Apologies for the intrusion

Correspondence / Re: Hey, Recluta! [Banda Rossa]

Hello!

If you want a brief resume, the past few days (not even a week, hah!) in the Well has been greatly successful- I've raised over three thousand dinar while hardly even tackling boardwork, having worked as a bodyguard for the Legate on two occasions, while running odds and ends. I've got a good work ethic and enjoy working with others, and don't hold myself to the superstition of cups or ash very much at all.

Well Regards!

Correspondence / Hey, Recluta! [Banda Rossa]

=Multiple copies are quickly scrawled out in cursive.=

Hi, Recluta of the Banda Rossa! I wanna join your fold, but the Balestriere told me I need two of you guys' approval before she lets me in. Problem is, I can't seem to find any of you in the Krak ever! So I'm gonna try something else.

On the back of this paper, write if you think 'Brigitte Brandt' would be a good fit for the Banda Rossa, and if not, write what you want me to do to change that, and I'll do it. I would REALLY prefer not to have to be with a silly group like the Balladeers or other, silly groups...

Hello, Khalid.

I'll be away for some time, possibly a manner of months- it is no harm, I am in no danger, but an illness of the soul has taken me. Pilgrimage through the sands is what refreshes the soul, guiding the ill and dying into good grace, and I shall do this to the best of my abilities. I write to you so you do not fear my disappearance, for I believe in you and hold you in the highest respect.

Hope to see you soon

Hello, this is Lucrecia.

It's with a heavy heart that I must request my absence from the seat of Magistrate. A malaise and torpor has taken my soul as of late, memories of my lost twin have rendered me too spent to do even my minor duties. Until I am properly healed from this illness of the self, I'll be taking pilgrimage through the sands, bringing gentle humanitarian aide to all who need it.

Domhnall, Bashir, Aubrey- I hope to speak with you again soon, and seeing your faces will keep my spirits warm. Thank you all.
