Dear Balladeers,

This is Felix Fleurdelis. I met with Balladeer Alain recently regarding use of the Verdant Stage for a play originally comissioned by ex-Legate Marcellus Saenus regarding the War of the Pearls. The play has the intention of both incentivising patriotism within the Well and also comraderie between Ephia and Baz'eel and also our Modini brothers. Even though they are the enemies during the war, the play has a nice twist to end things on a good note. Balladeer Alain asked me to deliver a copy of the script for review so I could be granted the use of the Verdant Stage, however although the final script has not been finished, I forward a rundown of all the scenes and themes so we could perhaps start moving up the process of setting up a date for the play. A date would make it easier for me to assemble a cast and staff. I require a mage with simple continual flame spells available, and one to three actors for the main roles (however, I am also prepared to do all these roles myself if needed).

Without longer adue, here is the skeleton of the script. If you wish I can still deliver the final version, or if one of your Students participates in the play perhaps they could keep you informed that production is up to your standards.

I hope you enjoy:

Honorable Sergeant Reyer of the First Patrol of the Fourth Legion,

Writes to you the humble Felix Fleurdelis, whom you met earlier today during a brief meeting in the Garrison discussing future plans regarding recruitment campaigns for the army. I write to you for a completely seperate reason (or perhaps not?).

See... I will be putting on a play soon at the Verdant Stage in the Krak des Roses. A short epic regarding the courageous campaign of the Sultan's finest against the treacherous Modini corsairs during the War of the Pearls. The play has the intention of conmemorating the Jannisary's braveness, strength and devotion and was comissioned by the former Legate Marcellus Saenus himself. It is hoped this play will inspire all Ephians to believe in our strength and unity, besides serving as a history lesson for all regarding our not so distant neighbors.

Besides inviting you to the play (date to be set soon!) I wished to inquire about there being the faintest posibility that the Garrison could briefly lend me a uniform to use as costume for the duration of the play (which would last only a few minutes). Of course I take into consideration the sanctity of the Green and  wouldn't want to put you in a situation you do consider worthy of the Uniform.

If this is not an option, perhaps other posibilities could be having true Janissaries participate in the play, or perhaps donating a piece of clothing similar enough for the ocassion. The reason I ask for this is because a costume to represent the Janissary's during the War of Pearls has already been comissioned and tailored and the budget for it spent. When the finished outfit was shown to two Janissaries they said it 'looked like a clown'. Far from an intentional sentiment... truly, I think the costume looks good as it is.

In any case, I will update you on the play and its schedule. If you agree to any of my proposals I would even be happy to provide you with a copy of the script for your aproval (once it is written, of course).

Not wanting to take up any more of your time,
and crossing my fingers that you even know how to read (a joke!),
I do depart from this parchment, most honorable Sergeant.

Bid you well,

Felix Fleurdelis

My character Kenneth McGimpsey (human bard) has recently transformed into a half-crystal guy.
When I try to get Cooper Crum to let me by pondsfolk he gives me this message:

"I don't know," he says. "You're a long way from home. Not good to stay too long. Away from home." You are already a citizen of Baz'eel.
