I'll preface this by saying that plenty of level 10s don't quest at all and never have. There isn't anything magical about the number, and seeing a decent number of them doesn't personally bother me. I always reached level 10 easily on every PC in every past chapter.

v6 dungeons are not directly comparable to ringrunning, which was itself a Herculean project.

Are player population numbers low? They don't seem to be.

Putting all quests on the board would unfortunately cause problems. We made it only show a small number of quests to solve the problems that permanently available static quests caused, to increase variety, and to diminish the advantages of being able to play EFU full-time. This direction is unlikely to change at this time.

I can't speak to DM activity in GMT but there are big events coming up that should work fine for that timezone.

Dispensaries feels unlikely.

Open to exploring a separate max 9 pool or moving some level 9 quests to max 10.

Open to adding additional 10 max quests, and I do plan to make one myself, but it should be said that this does take a significant amount of effort.

Open to exploring some kind of 'ascension' system to prolong the leveling experience for players that want that.

Open to alternative systems and alternative ways of playing in general to encourage people to log in and enjoy EFU.

In general though, player numbers seem to be in a good place. We can always have more content and definitely want to work towards that goal. I think raids are a big deal that EFU has never had before and took a huge amount of work from Tala, who deserves an enormous amount of credit. More stuff like that is in the pipeline, so please look forward to it.

Hello, EFU!

I know for a long while there has been the idea that "you can apply for anything". However, applying for plots is simply not a good use of your time or ours. Let me explain why.

Plots are things that require a great deal of effort to run. An overseeing DM has to volunteer their time to do so.

Applications are votes that take place among the DM team. We vote on whether the application is approved or not. This clearly doesn't make sense when the application is for something that a single DM will do.

Instead of applying for plots, ask DMs individually whether they can oversee your plot. You can ask in DM chat, you can ask in ask-efu-DMs. Maybe someone will bite. Note that it's entirely possible your plot simply won't happen! DMs are busy people, and many of us don't really enjoy running player plots for things like rituals. But, there are DMs who enjoy doing this, and it's your best route to actually getting a plot run.

From now on, applications for plots will just be auto-denied. It's not you, really! It's us.

It is with great delight that I read your letter, well-argued in all its respects.

Firstly, we are in agreement that arranging for a specific Magistrate to oversee a specific case is far from ideal. By every right and custom, the first Magistrate to arrive is the one who shall oversee a given case. I will have words with my soldiers, and with Lieutenant Colmes, on this, and ensure that it does not occur again.

Secondly, I would like to highlight a number of points of interest in this matter.

1. We are in agreement that the Janissaries of the Sultan should not serve any master but he, and his duly chosen representatives.

2. FURTHER, it is so far from the desire of the Janissaries to serve under the command of this foreign mercenary that it strikes any fair and well-reasoned man as laughable the implication that this Lieutenant of mine has somehow engineered this state of affairs that vastly denigrates and diminishes his own authority.

3. If there was an error here, it surely must rest equally upon all present, for you were empowered to speak, and indeed to give voice to objection if it was yours to give. I cannot, in my reason, understand the reason that Marcellus agreed to this request from Kha'esh, yet it is here and now the situation we must deal with.

4. This entire affair seems to me a great conflagration - a crisis of powers - that must now be navigated carefully. Treason charges shall only heap yet more fuel upon the fire.

Thirdly, you may be gladdened to know that there exists presently no intention among we Janissaries, in spite of your point the seventh, to bring charges against you.
