for anyone curious this was the dm channel on the char

======================================

Character Concept: Jeanette Fourn

Jeanette is heavily influenced by historical character Jeanne d'Arc.

A young woman who has been variously called hero, villain, madwoman, saint, and martyr.

One thing is fairly clear from history - Jeanne was very simple and singleminded in her pursuit of her goals.  There is also strong evidence she was very religious and obsessed with scripture and justice.  Many accounts have this simple uneducated girl giving deeply wise and brave replies - especially in her last days to her captors as she is tried in England for being a witch.

Under fire Jeanne is recorded by all sides as being brave to a fault.  Refusing to withdraw if any friendly forces are likely to be enveloped by her cowardice.  It is this refusal to leave anyone behind which by all accounts results in her eventual capture.  [some accounts have she simply lost her head and surrendered - either way she was cut off and her unit cut to bits when the rest of the army withdrew]

This character takes the angle Jeanne did not seek personal power.  That is unclear historically.  For the purposes of this character Jeanne only wanted to free her people from cruelty and put the rightful king on the throne at any cost to herself.

It's worth noting historically Jean pissed off a lot of her 'friends'.  They could not stand her constant moralism and demand for no compromises.  There is evidence the King she helped get crowned participated in a scheme to have her captured by English forces as her "use" was complete.

I will in my RP use the historical attitudes outlined here as a guide for how Jeanette will act.  Other than the name similarity there will be no other mention of actual human history in game.

I'd like thank everyone here who was interesting and decent to interact with, and that was almost everyone.  There are bad apples of course, but that's true anywhere, and what can you do.  Live and let live.

I've spoken with staff and it seems like maybe my style just isn't really best suited to EFU.  It's a fine technical achievement of a server, and has many very capable players that keep things always interesting.

Best for 2018!  See if Trump blows up the world or no?  Who can say? :)

Haha...oh you would jump in K.

Yeah, girls that do what you guys are mentioning are insane.  No sense of self interest.

Whoa, a little bit of a harsh judegment of his character there- no he very much cared about Serelis, and in fact, he wouldn't have been so harsh on her if he didn't care. She was constantly insulting and alienating everyone they crossed that she felt weren't useful making Gastoff's efforts to bewitch the public far more difficult, and most times she got into trouble, it was entirely her own fault. Gastoff cared for her, she just made the most foolish of decisions, and he wanted to make her smarter- as with the way she was headed, they were both going to end up dead quite fast thanks to her attitude. He wasn't going to fight the one who beat her, because quite simply, it was a battle he could not win, so he was going to attempt to manipulate his way through solving things, as was his main tool. Of course, Serelis's expectations seemed to revolve around Gastoff throwing himself blindly into obvious danger at her desire, and that he should just piss everyone off and throw everyone aside like trash regardless of the consequences of doing so- These were expectations, Gastoff sadly was unwilling to meet. Ultimately, Gastoff never viewed her as a tool, she was possibly the one person he didn't view as a tool, and I don't think she quite ever understood that, as she insisted all the time he use her like a tool- to which he always declined. Ultimately, Gastoff was a bit insensitive, and less tolerant of her antics than he should have been, but Serelis couldn't have the toy puppet she wanted, and so what happened happened.

Ok, no problem.  I'll delete the description relating to your char.  As for Serelis, she was evil scum.

For those unaware there was a sort of a back forth forth romance between the Gastoff and Serelis chars.  Been asked to keep the screenshots private.

[redacted]

Serelis was vain beyond belief, hated pretty much everyone because she had never got anything she wanted, and was constantly scheming to control.  Made the excuse that others being cruel to her without reason was an excuse to be cruel herself.  She had a soft spot for people that appeared to be truly good, but only if they played things her way.

I'd like to thank Mourning for everything and look forward to whatever he makes next!

"In the end, though, he died when he rushed over to help a newbie to get away from some mage eaters. I'd seen the summoning blast and went and clicked the rope instinctively..."

What a brutal way to die, low level casts a bull str to cross a rope bridge and a longtime pc gets ripped to shreds.

And you didn't complain once.  Very cool person.

Love to see what you make next.
