its a vendor in which you do not require the key to visit in the first place, you just need to know about it really in the first place, it may have been removed due to the recent changes but i havent checked in a while. your probably right and he's gone now with the changes with the illusion

Bug Reports / Lair Points Reversing
February 24, 2016, 12:57:33 AM
Not sure if this is because of recent server instability and crashing or not, but the past couple of days i've been putting resources into my lair altar and each time i am past 7200 points and everytime the server resets/crashes i come back and its back around 6800. I've probably lost about 1000 points, maybe a bit more to this so far, is this a bug?

^^ An earlier bug report, so assuming this bug is known?

Assuming this bug is still persistent, last time i did this quest indeed nothing triggered the quest finish.

"Ascending beyond mortal bounds" sums that up there ^_^ though i phrased it that way so it was not specific to purely just lichdom, there are many very cool undead types out there to strive to become, and as much as i hate to say it, lichdom sounds like it would be one of the least likely considering how powerful it is

Let me start off by saying as a Bone Warden player I vastly enjoy the perk as it is quite useful as it is.. However, I was thinking about it, and had an idea I thought might be a cool addition to bone warden, and offer some more flavor to his animation skills.

As they start they automatically get a free corpse every reset, I've had it give me various bodies to animate, from the expected skeleton to ogre, to half orc, but I always thought the perk should be restricted to -just- skeletons as it makes sense for the "Bone" warden. However, I felt a cool way to add flavor might be to not only restrict it to skeletons but to upgrade it, perhaps say at level 8 to give unique skeletons to animate instead of the normal skeleton archer and soldier.

Idea's?

instead of a skeletal soldier, perhaps a skeletal knight, instead of a skeletal archer perhaps a skeletal marksman, and restrict it to give only these two corpses instead flowing off onto random ogre bodies, ect. which make little sense for a bone warden. This could represent their growing mastery over skeletal beings rather than just the royal guards summoning, which though awesome! and I'm not suggesting in any way that it be removed! Just this as an addition to the perk.

Yes I know i'm essentially asking for the perk to be empowered in a way, but I thought it might be a cool idea, so the bone warden can create some longer lasting minions than the royal guards that could aesthetically look cooler and be stronger to represent the bone wardens growing skill at 8th level, rather than just animating the same old same old of every other necromancer. Don't get me wrong the royal guards are great for flavor and quite strong to use, but they don't last very long to contribute a lot to the RP of a bone warden beyond being that surprise card up the sleeve as a surprise attack- Great mechanically, but not so very much for rollplay.. Plus it makes little sense that all your other animated skeletons last as long as you need them but the royal guards your master creations last like 2 turns, and in the time it takes you to rollplay them they fall apart shortly after making your character look a bit like a fool.

And I'm aware it would take creating two new bodies for animating, which might be asking a little bit- but I thought it was worth suggesting.

Additionally as an idea, if the above one was not very desirable, maybe extend the royal guard duration? Maybe even make them persist consistently? And as a trade off take away the bonus they grant to nearby undead and add a summoning point cost to them equivalent of the other skeletal animations. Would yes up their power, but also make their RP worth a lot more, and make the rp of them make a lot more sense, along with greatly representing the bone wardens skill with skeletal beings. Another trade off could be that each use of the attendance at the court of bones only animates 1 skeleton at a time, so you cant just suddenly animate 2 persistent undead right off the bat

Thoughts anyone? Forgive me if my suggestions seem to be asking a bit much, again, I just thought this might be a couple of potential suggestions.

~The Cabal~

Necromancers alone throughout the past have been dreaded enemies of all who believe in the just causes of light and good, and alone, many necromancers despite their power eventually fall prey to the hordes of good, and their power is snuffed out... But.. When Necromancers gather, and their powers combine- legions of the dead follow, and the powers of light face a true threat. Necromancy has long been a driving power which has drawn many a desperate being, many a power-hungry individual, whether it be commanding the forces of the dead, or seeking an escape from mortality, or perhaps.. A weapon against some greater threat...

-THE CABAL-

The Cabal holds true to all of this... When the twin Necromancer and Abyssal Conjurers Acular Aztallin, the Bone master, and the insane Necrofiend Bariakas had come together and with eachothers aid reached great heights of power they began seeking others like them to teach and spread their power, to create a sect of Necromancers, Cultists, and even warriors who would stand together and seek ascension through the powers of the outer planes and Necromancy alike... The Cabal was formed with them at its head- and secretive others who would begin to join their efforts- Their desires?.. To master the arts of undeath.. To Master the powers of the abyss and undeath alike, to ascend beyond mortality, and to face the foes of the undeathly arts- As well as seek what they believed to be the only true weapon against the Dread. The Cabal is formed of cultists of dark gods, necromancers, those who seek power, all who may serve different masters- but all working together to strive towards similar goals- to also find allies within eachother to stand against their many enemies. The Cabal is the joining of abyssal, and undeathly power to form one great strength that will create nightmares for all who oppose them.. A Cabalist could be anywhere, a secretive member who works within Sanctuary law, or a known enemy of Sanctuary, it matters little to the Cabal- As long as each member works to bring the goals of the Cabal to fruition, as long as each member defends one another, and as long as they progress the power of the cabal and undeath.. With the death of the charismatic and powerful Necrofiend it is unknown what may become of the Cabal- but is definitely not dead.. It will definitely continue to grow.. And what may yet come of its efforts is unknown.

Player Faction:

Alignments: Recommended: CE, NE, LE. Good alignments are not permitted, and non-evil alignments are not recommended due to the high amount of evil activities the group performs, and for their very nature, and if non-evil neutral, be ready to accept becoming evil.

Classes: Recommended: Sorcerer, Wizard, Cleric. Druids and Paladins are not permitted for obvious reasons.

Religion: Any Necromantic or Abyssal-influenced god, Faithless also accepted

Concepts?:

The possibilities are endless! Go with what you enjoy! A power-hungry necromancer? Cool. A cultist of some evil god wishing allies to further their dark gods purposes? Awesome. Maybe your an aspiring assassin who seeks the support of darkly powered individuals to aid in his efforts.. Who knows.. You could be a warrior seeking the enhancing dark powers the cabal has to offer... You might be a desperate individual who believes undeath and the powers of the abyss are the only salvation against the dread... You could be some half-insane conjurer who drives towards abyssal rituals and seeks aid in bringing them to be.. The possibilities are endless, Necromancy, and Abyssal influences are present in every culture in Fearun, every nation, every race.. All have those influences somewhere in their lands or race and you are free to pursue whatever you desire within the cabal- the cabal is your tool to bringing your goals to fruition, and to finding further purposes in it's personal dark goals.

Goals:

-Master the arts and powers of the abyss and undeath, even possibly.. The hells..
-Through rituals and necromantic progress ascend to states beyond mortal bounds
-Bring an end to opposing forces, or sow corruption into opposing forces midst..
-Sow necromancy and abyssal influences into the various factions, and places like Sanctuary and elsewhere
-Create powerful weapons to fight off the Dread and survive in the end days
-Spread undeath throughout the dark
-Adventure and conquer legendary enemies, delve through the darkest of places, and find influences to serve and work alongside all to further the power of the Cabal and its members
-Perform Abyssal or Infernal Rituals to bring the forces of the outer planes under the Cabals reigns, or to seek their influence to bring more power to the cabal
-Protect the other members of the Cabal through various ways and methods
-Create the Ultimate Undead Creature

A forewarning word, this is indeed a very evil group, and hopefully an active group in performing acts which will gain many enemies and be on the wrong side of law, there will be pvp, there will be perma-death risk, there will be going on high risk quests and adventures to get stronger, and performing rituals which could potentially go very wrong and end us all at any point, this -will not- be easy, but it will be highly rewarding in getting to experience a high variety of adventures and boons which we could all possibly earn through IG activities, you may even be able to serve forces you did not know about before, or gain a PrC through your efforts, but this is what the cabal is about, we want to all work together to help you achieve your PrC, we all want to see you gain infamy, we want to see you become powerful through our efforts IG, we all want to have a good time- so I invite you to join us, and to experience EfU Necromancy, infernalism, and abyssal side of the server.

New fresh PC's Welcome, Existing PC's welcome, all are welcome as long as they fit into the concept of the group.

IRC Channel: #TheCabal not a lot of us yet so it may be empty at times, but I try to be in it whenever I can, feel free to pm me IG (Character: Acular Aztallin) or on IRC in the channel or #efu, i try to be around as often as I can.

--Post subject to massive changes as I put together stuff to improve it, and as the cabal evolves IG--

Suggestions / Alienists

Will we ever see such a interesting prestige class opportunity in a chapter so fitting for such?! We've seen the introduction of Ritualists, Blood Mages, why not Alienists?
