This would have worked in the player compendium.

And it'd be an awesome alternative to the highly metagameable forum boards.  Seriously people, stop putting sensitive information in public view.

There's currently nothing stopping people from making alts who sell their friends potions at base cost; it's something that has happened before and is likely happening right now.   I agree that potion brewing should be something you have to work at in game, however that'd completely skewer the current supply system - where in you earn gold and turn that gold into supplies.  Complicated issue and might just be more trouble than its worth.  If anything though, high leveled brewers should be given something to compensate for their higher XP hits.

Negates wild magic in wild magic zones but withdrawals cause you to exhibit the effects of wild magic even outside them.  Could be cool.  Just don't know how difficult it'd be for DMs to script.

I don't find it very realistic to take as much none avoidable damage as you do from the rather short distances you fall.  At the very least, allow for a reflex save to halve/negate damage.

You're doing gods work, sir.  I wish you the best of luck.  Hopefully you find some others who can help you with this.  Perhaps you should consider some sort of crowd funding angle.

Quote from: Vlaid;421915It also makes sense and probably encourages a little bit of conflict for nature oriented PCs to be angry with "shield dwellers" or more civilized PCs who clumsily harvest plants to death.

A change like this won't stop people with the appropriate skills from doing this.  Which, in my opinion, leads only to petty conflict of the farmer against some faceless goon they'll never be able to find.  What it will do is keep Joe the Fighter from moonlighting as a herbalist, knowing the difference between a bluecap and likely dozens of other blue mushrooms.  Even if you do describe the mushroom to someone else, there are likely dozens of lookalikes that will kill you dead. Experienced mycologists have trouble identifying some mushrooms from others because many have similar appearances that can only be discerned from one another through expert analysis.

Quote from: MaximumOverDrive;421907I like this, however I'd suggest adding that 1/2 lore or such be added to the check as lore falls into many categories! And well, this might be complicated, as for example, what if someone were to describe the herb in strong detail to someone and suddenly they see it but for some reason can't recognize it? Seems a bit mechanic-oocish. So I do think this is a good idea, and I don't, because it's just as simple as anyone telling anyone how to find the herb by appearance, and/or other visuals and traits of the herb itself.

They can describe it all they want but that doesn't really give them the skill to properly harvest them.  It would be no different than mining purple crystals or the various mushrooms about for lairs.  I could tell someone to look for Amanita but that doesn't mean they can cut it in a way that's meaningful.

Might not be a replacement but it looks like it might be good fun irregardless.

You probably shouldn't be stealthing/sneaking about in an NPC populated area without a DM at any rate.

Mushrooms sometimes give multiple ones.  It's just up to chance.  Ore should be worth more than mushrooms, always, due to the difficulty of gathering it.

Possible the feedback got lost in your combat log.  There could stand to be feedback at every 15 second interval instead of 30 seconds as it currently is.

That has to be one of the greatest moments in EFUhistory.  Good job.
