Good memory Damien. Kroffz is on Howlando's list, the character's name was Tristan Noyre.

Dwarves might generally live long lives, but not in EFU where they barely break L7.

Looks nice, HB.

GSF Necromancy: Casting the spell Negative Energy Ray on an undead minion will cause an eruption of Negative Energy Burst around it.

If you have a default potion of ghostly visage in your inventory, and then pick up a 'Elixer of the Ghost'' or whatever it's called, then the 'Elixer of the Ghost' will automatically merge with your regular potions of ghostly visage. They're not lost -- but rather just stacked under the default name's version of the vial.

Same goes for the other vials. Could that be what happened?

EDIT:  Potions automatically merging regardless of  having a different name tag will happen in some instances, and won't happen in other instances.

Being a player who has a chequered past of overstepping and shady behaviour in terms of almost everything, I can certainly understand the reluctance some people have towards gravitating to RwG's plan. Rules that help regulate this sort of interaction are incredibly important for the functioning of this server.

After some hesitation and experimentation, faction PCs and law enforcing PCs have been given leave to initiate PvP in their respective territories of influence, even if a DM couldn’t be found. This came to be because it was realized that a lot of nonsensical situations could occur if people had the advantage of the fact that there’s not always a DM around to watch.

It is generally speaking easy to play a faction PC and if they can initiate PvP in their areas without a DM, why could we not entrust the same privilege to DM approved murderers? Death tends to irritate us players and therefore needs to happen as cleanly as possible to avoid serious grievances, so a special set of rules should be in order to moderate unsupervised PvP.

I can name a handful of Assassin approved PCs from the top of my head and they were all responsible players. It's part of the reason why DMs approve a player for a prestige class like this one. This could be the thing that helps set aside the Assassin, which already struggles to find a legitimate claim in the hierarchy of most fearsome classes to have stalking you.

There need to be some rules though, which the DMs can flesh out better than I can. This could be the gist of it though, for the sake of furthering this discussion:
  • Alert the DMs prior to the PvP. Permission is not required to commence.
  • If the hit succeeds, don’t stand around the dead body for too long. Perhaps long enough to type out a quick line, or to snatch an item that your employer sent you to retrieve. Similar to what PC ‘criminals’ can do if they defeat a Watcher that initiates unsupervised PvP around NPCs.
  • Use common sense about where it is acceptable to conduct his PvP and for how long you should allow the PvP to last. Town Square, for instance? Only if you expect to drop the target in a very short period of time. If that fails, you must jolt. Inside an inn room? Only for as long as the room’s door is shut (and then perhaps a few more seconds).
  • Indeed, consult with DMs beforehand. Gain one’s approval (in DM Q&A Private Forum for instance) and do this case by case.

Done! This was the subject of my Bachelor's thesis. A large part of it was to determine which (lack of) stimuli motivated people to sway towards security or privacy. It was somewhat more scoped than just the privacy vs. security debate in general, but feel free to hit me up if you think I can help you out.

Somewhat more balanced and universally useful:

A tweaked version of the Ascetic's expunge, that can potentially break paralysis and such spell effects as well if the RSD can be so lucky.

Could think of a player tool that allows the user to toggle a 1/day variety of dispel magic on himself.

Unless EFU did undocumented tweaking and recent changes that I am unaware of, Charnelist is in fact correct.

It does not remove paralysis (incl. hold person), fear or dominate effects. It does however protect from these effects for the duration.

Fear requires Remove Fear

Paralysis requires Remove Paralysis or Restoration

I'll  note that I am somewhat skeptical about clarity not removing  some of the dominate effects in EFU at this point. Dominate is, far as I'm aware and contrary to the wiki, removable by Clarity.

But we're derailing. This is an interesting thread and we can let the implementors argue about the  balance of our suggestions.

Quote from: RSD ability, level 8. Sudden Burst // Boiled Up EnergyOnce per day, the RSD is able to deplete himself of his extra energy. It allows him to displace himself quickly, though jerkily, around the battlefield.

Bonus: Haste (5), Displacement (5). Using this ability lowers dodge AC by 4 (negating the bonus from Haste) and lowers AB by 2 for the duration.

This answers the call for some more explosive defensive and escaping power, with a balanced boost to offensive performance.
