There are worse things that spawn where they do. They are dangerous to certain classes, but easily dealt with if those potentially vulnerable classes travel with someone else.

Loved being given tasks on my auxiliary specialist from Sykes. Fantastic Agent. Excellent RP.

Almost all players like to see their PC's progress in levels and loot. Making quests harder/less rewarding just makes for more grinding.

I would 'up' the rewards for RP (loot and xp)

Particularly if that RP is risk taking (spying/betrayal etc.) but imo even if plotting, planning or hells even if it's just ruminating on a DM plot with a bunch of allies it should ideally be rewarded, and more so than is generally done at the minute.

Throwing rewards of +250xp around for RP more often would encourage it.

I would also perhaps be worth trialling RL time limits on quests. I've seen this done on other servers with some success. If a quest is limited to 24hrs RL it would stop the:

'Can we have a reset please so I can smash and grind some more please?'

In regard to stats, EFU's position is well outlined by Mort here:

http://www.efupw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22883

8 on an attribute is = "Very Poor"

So as long as you are RP'ing that, its all good. And further outlined by Paha as:

Quote... if you go below 10, it demands that you play it out some way. There is no excuse to just cut points and ignore them afterwards completely.

Correct. I presumed it meant you would also need DM supervision for any PVP, absolute clarity from a DM would perhaps be helpful.

Quote from: Talir;416063If the NPC is neutral and does not have a description saying specifically that you are allowed to attack them, you are not allowed to attack them without DM oversight. That should be clear enough already.

Talir gave this clarification. This does potentially constrain many areas of the server to require a DM to supervise PVP.

My PC wanders the server a great deal and has come across a lot NPC Ordinant, Myconids, Duergar, Travellers, Svifneblin Traders  all over the wilds, all who would require DM supervision should PVP start.

I guess it will make the DM's busier and also mean more stopping of PVP where it starts occurring near them and no DM is about. Unsure this is the desired outcome or not.

I've posted a suggestion about this on a wider basis:

http://www.efupw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99756

There are lots of NPC's that have a specific "you can PVP in front of him without confirming DM presence".

There are also a bunch about whom its not clear e..g Ordinant NPC spawns, NPC quest givers etc. etc.

Kind of linked I imagine, so posting here. I tried to train a new animal companion today, all the messages indicated success and 200xp was taken.

However on trying to summon for the first time I got the message "you have no trained animal companion".

Did "Here be Spiders"... half way through we got the quest complete message pop up and when completed the quest no gold and all the potions were gone.

We strongly suspect that someone had been part of a previous group, logged back in as we were doing the quest and ran through the end section grabbing the gold and potions before finishing it up.

That is doable on this quest as there is no "boss" you just need to enter the final area.

Can this quest have a "final" boss included to avoid this error/abuse?
