Sykes and Robal were my two favorite agents for very different reasons.  Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Some RL things have made playing EFU iffy at the moment.  Once I figure things out, I'll likely be back.

WHAT IS THIS LACK OF SCREEN SHOTS.

And yeah, Cain was a blast.  Looking forward to seeing Mili around more, or whatever concept you come up with next.

Really, really busy with work for the next two weeks or so.  I'll be around in IRC, and can likely hope IG with some notice ahead of time.  Otherwise, playing time will be spotty.

I've been playing an Ordinant for little over a month now, and I cannot even begin to explain the amount of fun I have had.  There is an endless number of opportunities currently available to pursue, so much though that we are finding that there is simply not enough time to explore them all.  Without getting into spoiler territory, the Society has seen a lot of activity, both from DM and player initiatives, with much, much more to come.  We are always looking for new players looking to get involved.  If interested, find any of us IG, or in #Society!

Awesome character who went out true, and true, to his ideals of a Paladin and Ordinant.  Awesome job, man.

If someone used Ethers in PvP, I would be thanking them.  Compared to base damage, they are garbage.  They are absolutely a situation dependent tool, and not some OP means of domination.  The only time I've ever used Ethers in PvP is when I derped and didn't have tanglefoot bags quick slotted  to catch that running pc, who is chugging pots of heal and retreat.  By the way, the 6 or so damage those Ethers did weren't exactly worth it, as said PC was easily able to escape while my PC tried to kill him with papercuts.

Now, in PvE, they are very useful.

As for RPing using them...

Personally, in PvP, I tend not to RP such things prior to a battle.  The reason being is that while I type out a big, fluffy, emote, that other guy is downing potions like it's his job.  I have used them plenty of times in RP not centered on PvP.

Just my two cents.  I think this is being blown way out of proportion.

From what I've seen, the Alchemy use/day items can be used in PvP, but they are far from ideal due to how little damage they do.  Give me a tanglefoot bag any day.

Good job with Senta, man.  Your first character lasted far longer than mine.  Looking forward, as well, to seeing what Harcourt can do!

As others have said, it's a necessary evil.  I wouldn't be against altering the location.

Gareth died in a rather unassuming way, yet he was a blast to play.  He was my attempt to play a 'good' PC in a world where desperation makes everyone rethink morality; often leading many to take the stance of, "The ends justify the means."

He was a Tyrran Paladin, and Ordinant of the Society of the Ordered Mind.  Among the many goals I had for Gareth, he was largely working to get Knighted, and possibly become a Prefect of Sanctuary.  Unfortunately, neither happened, but the goals allowed for a lot of RP with a lot of the great PCs on the server.

Thanks to the Society guys for the good times, along with the everyone else I regularly played with.

I'll post some screenies later on.

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Watcher Jonus Segane

Unfortunately, I'm not one to take many screen shots, so you'll have to excuse the boring retirement thread!

Jonus was a Helmite Watcher, and my first, serious, character on EFU.  I started the PC with no real goals, and largely wished to play something I was familiar with to learn the server mechanics, culture of EFU, get a handle on the lore, etc.  He eventually grew into a character I really enjoyed playing.

A recent crippling offered a good end to the character, who did more as a first PC than I honestly expected.  He now takes a more administrative position within the Watchers, focusing on training new recruits.

Thanks to all the PCs I roleplayed with on a pretty regular basis, and I'm looking forward to new adventures with a new concept!
