Ah, no.  It's not a custom potion.  It's effect is Inflict Light Wounds (5) Single Use.  It's a normal potion.

I just got back to my computer and was going to write a bug report for the wands thing.  I've never crafted wands on EfU before, but I assumed they'd be arcane-only and was surprised when they were not.  I'll be looking for a DM to relevel me soon if it's not fixed.

Just to clarify the answer to my original question, the potions of inflict which are fairly available IG are not intended to be able to be mimic'd?  Might I ask why not, or should I ask that in the suggestions thread?

Sharess absorbs Sune, Liira, and Milil - becoming the deity of all that is awesome.

Crap, I'm going to start casting VFX'd barkskins now? At least it'll tell me when I need to replenish the spell on my party then though.

I was following a PC who took me through one of those mist transitions.  The monsters weren't immediately on the other side.  I wound up in a cave or tunnel and died when transitioning out of it.  It's fine.  It was all IC, since I didn't know what exactly the Mists are.

Made a new char and I'll be more careful this time.

Oh!  I did not know that!  Oh well.  I'll concept a new character anyway.

Arcane Mimics are unable to copy the spell "Inflict Light Wounds" from potions called "Draught of Inflict Light Wounds".  It gives the error message that you can only copy from creatures and potions.

Draught of Inflict Light Wounds is recognized by the potion homogenizer, but it cannot homogenize it without showing a similar potion (which doesn't exist as far as I know).

This is likely true for other Inflict spells, but I've not yet tested that.

Suggestions / Arcane Mimic Bugs -> Features
May 08, 2013, 06:30:27 PM
Quote from: "Arcane Mimic"Notice: Bugs are possible, report if found. Spells and abilities  themselves should not be changed and are to be considered as they are  usually in efu, such as spell targeting. Self-only spells are self-only,  and so on. Failure to report bugs such as these and intentional  self-benefitting abuse of said bugs , is a valid reason for imminent  retirement of the character.

This is only going to make people less likely to take advantage of what is one of the most brilliant perks out there in the NWN experience.  There are -two- spells bugged that allow non-self-only castings, and one of them is a fairly useless spell.  Let them do it.

It doesn't break the game.  Does it make Arcane Mimics better?  Yes.  So what?  They're awesome custom content and everyone should be encouraged to take advantage of the hard work likely put into scripting them.

Arcane Mimics are situational anyway.  Great support over a long event, but reliant on spending -a lot- of gold/supplies just to reach the level of a vanilla sorcerer.  They're good at support, but terrible at PvP and spur-of-the-moment combat, which seems to be the norm in EfU:M.

Also, their main survival tool: the sequencer, works about 40% of the time.  Maybe less.  Lag makes it fail, inputting or having any commands on your queue other than activating it makes it fail, sometimes getting attacked in certain ways makes it fail too.  If it worked, I'd say it balanced Arcane Mimics survivability with vanilla sorcerers, but it doesn't work in any reliable way.

General Discussion / Musings on my First Day
March 28, 2013, 04:24:18 AM
Well, just finished my first day on EfU.  Just thought I'd give it a try since I haven't played here since the Underdark days.  So I make a character and log in.  Wow, there are some really cool perks and systems!  This is gonna be fun!

I show up in Mistlocke.  Everything is dark.  People are allergic to colors. Talk to some people and quickly find something out: No one plays nice characters.  Players are nice ooc, characters aren't.  People grab me for quest trains...okay...fine.

Quests are fun, same as scripted quests on most servers, way less gold!  Interesting...

Now, here's the annoying part:

I'm just starting to enjoy the server, getting the hang of it, and -boom-.  Clicked a transition, teleported to a random place on the server.  Of course it's right next to some assassin vines which kill me in one round.  Okay, whatever, I've had characters die before.  So I lose a level, big deal.  I choose to respawn at tower.  Wait....all my stuff is gone?  All of it?   Everything?   Now I'm much better off just permadeathing and concepting something new.

Well...oookay.  I don't even know what to think.  People keep telling me oh "EfU is a tough server".  I'm particularly interested in EfU because I want the challenge of learning a new server and not having OOC knowledge of every quest I do everyday.

I'll concept something up and log in again later.
