Making the check gives you a reply saying you have been accepted as a medium and are given a bone necklace and may now speak to the spirits.

You receive no actual necklace item, nor may you speak to any spirits.

You may zone into H'bala's Tower and enjoy the sights but there is no (working) transition to leave it again, effectively rendering you stuck until next reset or until a DM aids you.
