The only downside I can think of is people stealing merchant wares before the merchants can log in and return to the chest, but I think it's safe to say the DMs would be able to catch that easy.

Threads like this always make me rue how time works. All the possibilities: schemes, counter-schemes, foiled plans, and plans executed without a hitch. I'm really sad that I'm now going to miss out because Rihonal can't be involved any more of that.

I'm inclined to think the limitation is due to the spell sharing the same crafting menu as the teleportation spell.

My brain melted at those high numbers.

I think Whispering Winds should be able to target areas within the Mist. Chances are the person/people you wish to contact with the spell will more likely be within the safe confines of the Mist anyway.
