Gotcha. Then maybe remove the OOC warning in the spell description that talks about being careful not to regroup party members who wouldn't want you teleporting them? It definitely reads as though it's meant to operate on PC's, and that was why I took it.

Quote from: ThisIsWonderland;313885This system sounds like it has numerous advantages for various scenarios and no disadvantages that I can think of.

Last I played, it was also extremely buggy, many of the commands not working properly.

And it was very difficult to loot someone of just -one- item. Your entire combat system flooded with lists, and if you're trying to bandit someone of one item , while still fighting - it's impossible.

Clan Caermyn, the Muster and Aberdenn are DM Supported factions that do not require application.

Just approach a current member and learn about the association IG, and ask for support to join if it fits.

Chand The Scamp Underfoot is/will be involved in this, from multiple angles. It is a very well thought out and developed group that will hopefully not only be a lot of fun for the people directly involved, but indirectly lead to some bigger/better things as well.

I look forward to this and encourage people to join.

My playtimes are becoming drastically reduced as of today. I've been off work for the last three weeks so I've had more than usual.

Starting today it won't be most days/most of the day.

Saturday nights and sundays will be my biggest playtimes, with some 1-2 hour sessions during the week.

And since I have a weekday off day, and one weeknight I'll be around in massive quantities during those times. Still plenty of play, just not infinite amounts.

Again, it does give a wide range. And the more coin you have the bigger the range.

Someone with only a couple hundred can be estimated within 50 or 60 coins.

When Alphonse was alive the range it gave me was 65k-87k. Yea.

If you see a clear ball on a table with gumballs, and it's a really small ball. And you guess how many are there... you can probably get a lot closer than a ball with 100,000 of them. Same principal.

As someone who plays a rogue that uses this ability, I can tell you that it does give a very wide number.

The ability itself varies in accuracy based on a large number of things. Rogue levels, spot ranks and Pick Pocket skill chief among them.

And the more coins someone has, the harder it gets to estimate their coin pouch. In addition, the more hide ranks someone has, the harder it is to estimate their coin pouch. So there are counters. Don't want a seasoned thief measuring up your coin pouch? Learn to hide your coins better.

Personally, I've told people who wanted to buy something that it wasn't in their price range. But I've never said, "I know you only have 300-340 gold" When estimating someones pouch out loud, I normally say something more like... "Give or take XXX, I'd say they have about XXX" And shoot for a number near the range I know to be true. Sometimes I get it wrong on purpose.

All in all, the ability is fine. There is a ton of variance, it requires a good deal of training, and there are several counters. It may not seem that way if you don't know how the mechanics work - but the checks and balances are there.
