I like the current level caps.  Moving on from lvl 8 to 9 is an accomplish that should require more than just grabbing a quest group and wiping out quests, even with diminished returns.  By that level especially, you should be less focused on just grinding up quests and more on accomplishing other goals and expanding your influence.

That the ones with higher caps require more planning and thought to finish means that your character is forced to be more of a mover and shaker (or follower) and less likely that they are someone who just happens into random quest group going to crush X.

Finally, most of these quests are already fairly easily done when you are at the higher end levels for the quest.  Allowing even higher levels would just turn them into nearly riskless grabs for what supplies they offer.

My problem with using the term Tenday vs Week is that it's harder to coordinatethings that happened a few weeks or tendays ago.  If we want to plan something for 2 weeks from now, for example...

In Faerun it would be easy to say that we will meet in two tendays.

In the real world, it's easy to say we will meet in two weeks.

As our own schedules revolve around the weekly schedule, it's harder to actually use the tenday model.  Then we aren't using tenday in the game much, instead saying, "In seven days time" or "In fourteen days"

Enh, week works fine for me.

Follow Morn Greycastle into the Sinister Enclave. Thrill as you face hordes of undead. Scream in terror as Griff's ancient laptop overheats, and Morn fades away in the misty depths of the ziggurat.

Overall, I really like where the story is going.  The work being put in is, as usual, top notch.

I do agree that, at times, H'bala and the withering do seem like a background sort of ambient presence that doesn't impact the PCs so much, unless they are an active group that works towards that aim.  Maybe thinking of some way to work in some sort of 'incursion' of the Withering into areas considered 'safe'.

I personally think NPC quest givers are fine in most cases.  It does make it tougher in some cases to grab quests, but only in a few rare cases does it make it truly immersion breaking.

Even having NPCs stand 10 feet away to 'overcome' the faction obstacle adds a bit of ambient flavor and forces individuals to make allies outside of their groups, interaction is not a bad thing.

I haven't personally noted a different trend of quest rewards from EfU:A to EfU:M.  It felt like rewards were going down in general at the end of EfU:A and that this is matched/continued in EfU:M.  But I agree with VP in that I feel it could maybe XP gains could slow down a little slower and a little later.  But then I could also adjust my attitude towards when I feel like I need to grind XD

With the factions as clearly laid out so early in the new setting, I feel like things are a lot more dynamic.  Factions came out slower over a longer period of time and it took a while to get to know what was up with each of them.  In the new setting, only the Wyrm Watchers are new and we got them going almost right out the gate.  Already knowing the general attitudes and goals of the factions and how they relate to eachother sets up a good amount of proper tension early and I like that.

Overall, I've been real excited, lately and looking forward to seeing how things progress/change.

Noooo!

Who will tame the pigs?  The evil pigs with their beady red eyes.

You can't trust em.  Can't pray, can't sleep, can't study... not when them pigs are around... scary, evil pigs...

Weird and unique PC... one of those sorts of PCs that makes the world more immersive because... well... some people are really just simple pig farmers.

I applaud you, sir!

To my understanding, like elements should not stakc (Flame Weapon on sword with any fire damage) and you should instead simply get the higher amount...

But that unlike elements DO stack (Ice Weapon cast on a sword with fire damage)...

This is how it worked with a weapon I had that had elemental damage on it back in EfU:A, I loved a wizard with something besides Fire... so either bug or intentional change from the end of EfU:A
