Did this quest last night, and still not getting a queen spider to spawn. Not sure if it's a one time deal or not, but figured this deserved a bump.

I had the same occur to me on a mist path from the Crossroads that took me to an island with a name I couldn't begin to remember that is probably some sort of elvish. The map transitions into the Illythiiri Ruins if that helps.

Same issue as Relinquish above: mist path back did not function and did not display the typical "You end up back where you started" message.
