I honestly think this particular paragraph says it all.

Quote from: MortThey generally app to play a Lycanthrope and to play that -stigma- .  They will give HINTS to players they believe will treat them fairly and  wont try to "WIN"...  They know they will die at one point, but they  want to create a fair deal of intrigue surrounding it. I dont think we  have to force them to roleplay it at all through somekind of mechanic...  If you are approved, it generally means the DM team trusts you to do it  by yourself. Generally, a situation where players trust eachother  OOC`ly will be a lot more fair/cooler than a situation where players  dont trust eachother... so WORK ON THAT trust. Show hints through good  behaviors that you are not looking to 'win', just to develop that story.  And if you do win and gave all the little nudges of respect along the  road, people in IRC/Forum might not know, but your foe will be grateful  and the DMs will know/figure it out by asking your foe/monitoring you.

In the current DM plot it was already stated that things like silver and belladonna will not detect a lycan that's in human form. Egon, you already knew this since this entire thing has involved the Muster closely, so lets not go fogging up things now by playing Daddy against Mommy.   >.>

This thread has gone entirely off the original topic, so excuse me if I feel the need to push it further along that path. The Withering is tied to an ongoing plot, and one can assume that as H'bala advances the curse will spread further as well as get stronger. Hence making it too strong too early means there's no place to go from that point. It starts weak, it gradually gets stronger, this seems to me to be the entire point.

So people know:

http://www.escapefromundeath.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57049

Discretely moving about Mistlocke's outskirts when you're exiled is likely fine...especially if you aren't seen. Idling about in plain sight or announcing meetings on the Mistlocke map likely isn't a good idea since once you pass the gates in the Crossroads you're technically in Mistlocke.

As far as being exiled goes, it doesn't necessarily mean you're hunted, depending on the crime, so being in the Crossroads and looking for people, for instance, likely won't be a problem in most cases.

A Message to Boris

Well hello there, Boris dear,
You truly need not so fear,
And try to scare brave Mistlocke,
With boasts ‘bout your tiny cock.

You see we’re quite wise to you,
Your strength is a grifter’s brew.
For no more come from Old Port,
You’re alone on Ymph, old sport.

I’ll tell you what you can do,
Take to sea and bid adieu.
For Mistlocke you cannot tame,
I promise I’ll stoke your fame.

As a man who grasped too far,
Out of reach that Ruby star.
For red bleeds when in the Mist,
As faded pink does it exist.

So come along, bring your worst,
Into the fray, leap headfirst.
Your head will look so fine,
Piked on this road, your own shrine!

Well, it has to be a cleric who rents. Regardless, I do strongly believe that the shrine should be put to use. Holding them for the sake of holding them serves nothing.

That particular shrine is being rented by an active cleric, yes. How much they use it I really couldn't say.

The Green Fairy

When imbibed this potion transports the drinker to a realm of illusory monsters. To dispel the illusions they need to follow the bright lights until they finally return to a lucid state.

I have a suggestion that would help greatly with alcohol addiction. You need to miss your Fort save before the penalties of needing a fix disappear. Things would be so much more manageable if the penalties vanished with just a single drink.

Certainly, that might be less realistic, but at least people wouldn't need to carry about 20 or 30 bottles of ale due to the fact that they keep making the save, or the way the script often fires several times in a short period of time.

Yes, a lot of time the archers, or other ranged NPCs, don't leave the spawn point. And if you kill them there another appears right in front of you.

Baron Abdul Dabulldull Ameer

When burrows are dark and gnomes bed down,

And quiet falls o’er fair little towns.

Stories are told, but one more than most,

‘Bout a Baron, a hero, they boast.

Baron Abdul Dabulldull Ameer,

With a nose no others could come near.

A lance which foes of gnome-dom did fear,

Five kobolds a’time he’d neatly spear.

With a mustache so fine, thick and long,

If thought a badger you’d not be wrong.

For just like our fair, fine, furry friend,

Snarling from lip where it would suspend.

Baron Abdul Dabulldull Ameer,

With a nose no others could come near.

Unless, by choice, the Baron should veer,

And honker should hook gnome maid’s brassier.

All who might fill his people with dread,

Would find the gaze of fierce eyes red.

But those who would sing a jaunty tune,

Would espy his jig, and the gals swoon.

Baron Abdul Dabulldull Ameer,

With a nose no others could come near.

Nine months after Abdul would appear,

Wee gnomes arrive with snouts quite like spears.

The main thing with associations, and specifically the clans, is I feel it would be helpful if more of their history was known. I feel that they need more background into what has passed over the years so that people better understand the feud, as well as each clan's part in the formation and building of Mistlocke.

Here's an example of why I think it can get out of hand.

This was over the course of less than five minutes. I was forced to make 9 will saves. It seems a bit extreme, and it can literally be fatal since it drops my bard's Dex down to 3.

You can drink a few to fix it, then you get another save, then you drink again, then once more you need your fix. Even if you're carrying 10+ beers around you can very easily run out, and still need your fix with no way to relieve it. Also, note that the DC is 60...
