I think a rage quit is almost a right of passage. Everyone has to do at least one, it's the problem of playing a game where you grow to become so connected to a character.

There may be a one or two spoliers, but I'm hella interested in the faction (if it's still going that is!)

The drug addition seems really interesting, looking forward to seeing how the notion of being addicted is actually portrayed IG.
 
The other stuff means pretty much nothing to me, but I'm assuming it's all good!

Surround yourself with as many people as possible - people that love and hate you.
 
You'll have much more fun with people trying to kill you and worship you than meandering about on your own.

I like the idea of thunderstorms hitting you with lightning, but having to worry about being blown over while walking around doesn't really appeal to me.
 
I've played on other servers that had checks to stop you being knocked over in high winds, and it was just an annoyance more than adding to roleplay in any way.

Off to Spain for a little over a week.

I started out on CoA and found the server before I found the website or forums.
 
If I had tried to log into the server and it wouldn't have let me due to not having the HAKs I would have probably just gone elsewhere rather than tried to find the forums or the download.
 
There is no reason to (unless someone tells you that the server is brilliant and you have to play there) when you can simply go to another server and just click connect.
 
There are always other options and other servers - I guess it just depends on how lazy you are!

If I was an established player I would - but the appeal of both EfU and CoA, to me, as a new player are that they are non HAK and you can jump straight in.

I'd ask for the same sort of suggestion for someone who's played on and off for a while without ever really jumping into it.
 
I'm contemplating sticking in an app for a faction (I have a rough one in mind), but part of me thinks I should play a ''throw away'' character to really get the feel of things first.

Well, for me internet problems have stopped me getting started but that's all sorted now thankfully!

Would it be possible to have it so you can get your 10 gold back should you decide, for whatever reason, that in the process of making a sending that you don't want to make it any more?
 
I don't have much gold, and that extra 10 goes a long way!
