The range on Cure _____ Wounds is Touch. It shouldn't require the ability to see the target, only to touch them. If you know where the person is by bumping into them or whatever, then you should be able to heal them. Yet the game doesn't recognize that sort of spell targeting.

There are costs associated with dropping your invisibility as well. You're a target once again. Once your healer can see you, everybody can see you.

Trying to play while sick. Isn't working out. I'm just getting worse, so I'm going to step away from gaming for a bit and just relax until I'm better.

Wow. That sort of thing being scripted could be really fun. As long as the major rituals still involve DMs (since they always have a flair for the dramatic that really makes such things awesome), this could be really good.

I imagine it as sort of just a more advanced and complicated form of spellcasting, infeasible for questing but more for the RP quality it offers. Now I know that you can do rituals already, but having a scripted effect, whether mechanical or just visual really has a lot of appeal to me.

-COMEDY OPTION-

Turn the Nightriser Shield into a ritual that needs to be performed by PCs at regular intervals or it'll fail.

No, but this looks like a good group. But don't make any MORE elves. Already, too many. I say, more elf-hunting Malarites.

Why does SR count against Evard's? It's one of very few spells that can bypass spell resistance, and that is part of its appeal.

I think that Tower Shields really serve a completely different purpose in PnP to what they are here in NWN. In NWN, Tower Shields have 1 less AC than in PnP, but they're portable. If the issue is with what purpose a tower shield serves realistically, why not change all of them to be more like PnP? Add an attack penalty while wielding them, but give them all +1 AC, and allow for a defensive-stance type deal where you gain 50% concealment from ranged attacks if you're not moving or fighting (taking cover behind your shield).

It sounds like a bit of a silly idea, but it could be fun. I think that Paha Poika is really overthinking it.
