Need ore quotes from Richard Prenneke:

“This lake can really change it’s personality in a hurry. Like a woman, all smiles one minute and dancing a temper tantrum the next.”

Some sort of different and bigger spawn that rolls out with big groups would be nice. It's balanced well for two people, three people, but after that it is very hard. The corridors mean that really only one or two people are fighting stuff at any time and taking hits. It is very rewarding though...

Screen Shots & Obituaries / Dirzin Rumpclaw
June 21, 2010, 01:00:20 AM
Dirzin Rumpclaw was a simple man on a simple mission. Protect Chondalwood and the entire halfling race from the rise of the Ghostwise and the coming of a second Ghostwise war. All but forgotten by their Lurien ancestors the Rumpclaw's took native wives, inbred, multiplied, and trained their young sons in the ways of war and manliness. Every generation would learn everything that the previous had learned, and then was expected to refine those skills, and in that way the Rumpclaw Clan became one dimensional badasses ill equipped for rigors of the real world, where diplomacy and tact are needed, but amazing warriors.

Transported to the Ziggurat, Dirzin started out as a hunter of Malar's curse, but found himself instead hunting other feral halflings, such as Adeladle Buttercup, who had gone on vicious murdering sprees and needed to be brought in to justice. On the urging of Drexia, and his own desire to be able to know more about the stargazers and their feral cousins, the Flayer, he joined the Conclave as Ridgeway's consort. After Ridgeway's death, true to form, his weaknesses killed him as he was unable to handle the final challenge of investigating this death of the man he greatly admired but never could really connect with. Straightforward violence did not win him many friends, and while he threatened death to many, he was not much of a killer, killing two PCs in his whole career, both with sizable bounties on them. Many were subdued.

Countless accusations were leveled upon me. E-EGO's were popped like zits. Dirzin Rumpclaw, though, did not have a single stat below ten and was not really that much of a power-build, though quite optimized to do what he did, kick ass. Luck and bravado were on my side, as well as a rumored to be overpowering claw, which of course was cursed to do terrible things to the owner... but I'll let the new owner find that out IG!

Here is a screenshot or Dirzin Rumpclaw facing down a giant arch-wizard. Too bad the dragon he killed died too fast for me to take a screenshot.

Toodles to all the players I interacted with, especially ShadowCharlatan (Who is just great, by the by,) and a shout-out to Karida for a great love/hate relationship, like some sort of binary star, two destructive forces about to collide but keeping each other honest and stable for a short time...
