I keep my gamma slider around 3/4 of the way up when playing because of darkness issues. I have also noticed that on my current PC, if I tab and return to the game everything will be tremendously darker. Re-tabbing does not fix this, but if i go to my video options menu, don't click anything just access the options and it will automatically get brighter and correct itself.

I think the sheer number of gnolls makes this quest fine. I do not think the HP of the gnolls is a problem at all since there are various enemy types on this quest. I have nearly died, and seen friends nearly die quite a bit on this one. If the quest is made easier due to being buffed out the ass, I don't think the quest needs to be made harder yet.

The one thing that I will agree with are the casters and their effects on their allies. Not sure how you would fix that, but it does seem silly at times.

I believe I was in the same group as the OP on this one. We stomped through the quest, the problem is not the difficulty per se, but rather the ridiculous amount of potions and supplies you burn through while attempting it. I don't think he was asking for trolls to be made weaker, but rather for the dispel spam to be somewhat LESS.

You drink a potion, get dispelled, waste more supplies, get dispelled. There are a LOT of those buggers around too. It is my understanding that quests are meant to be fun. This is not fun at all. I am all for a challenge, I welcome one and expect one whenever I do a quest. That isn't the issue here.

After you have burnt through many EXPENSIVE potions the rewards, in my opinion, are lackluster.

I felt that the final boss fight was a great challenge, and an interesting battle. Everything leading up to that was a chore. I'm not saying it shouldn't be tough, but if you think of the price for each potion used NOT INCLUDING HEALING you do not earn this much coin at the end.

Quote from: ScottyB;164019Watch Conan the Barbarian, Lord of the Rings, and The Running Man.

Ok, I can get Ahnold running from one city to another, or running from prison to a shanty town. But a dwarf? C'mon. Running is so OP and has no place in our fiction or fantasy.

Say tha' t'me face lad! Us dwarves are known fer our stamina!

Hi, I am Thorgrim in game and have only recently become involved with Ivor and the Dogs O' War. I had a simple question, and please forgive my ignorance since I only know of this happening from this forum post, but.. Why does the character of Ivor have to go to waste? He started the ball rolling on a massive, massive thing here that got many people involved including myself obviously. Because he has died does not mean that it must end, and I think by allowing it to end is disrespectful to the work put into everything to date on both sides of the fence not just for Ivor.

Why must the siege come to a halt, why can it not go on? More people are involved in this than just Ivor. I think it is very unrealistic for it to stop because the (obvious in my opinion) assassination of one character. If it were to stop it only sets a bad atmosphere and example for the server by telling people that conflict can be avoided entirely by simply offing someone.

General Discussion / Strange Lag?
August 18, 2011, 06:06:42 PM
While playing recently I have been getting lag like I've never had before. It isn't server lag I don't think.. Anytime ANYTHING loads into my screen i get tremendous lag. I will be frozen in place at times when 5 kobolds run up. I've never had nwn lag like this unless some crazy event was going on. Is there any way to alter a game file to correct this or something? My PC can handle games like WoW, TF2, Borderlands.. So I don't see why NWN is giving me so much trouble! Any suggestions are appreciated.
