I think most of the problems here stem from nobody knowing what server policy is on alignment. I tend to treat alignment the way it's presented in the NWN character creation descriptions, and alignment as determined by intent. The intent bit is influenced by tabletop D&D books, which tend to treat alignment change due to actions as more of a punishment, implying that changing alignment can be done when one's worldview has changed, with or without actions to demonstrate it.

But as most people can't seem to agree on it, I just play wishy-washy and/or blindly devoted people. It kind of cuts off the 'shades of grey' section when nobody can agree on how it's played.

Could just rename them Pack Oxen.

One could always add a small, automated system of experimentation, that takes raw materials and gold, and gives you a chance to gain a new recipe, or a partial one. I imagine there would still be rare drops, but it would open things up for those who can't constantly hunt for them.

Hm... It would be quite useful if recipes came with a power to copy themselves over, possibly with a slightly increased DC or reduced effectiveness (to make sure original copies retained value). It could simply be a requirement to have the recipe or a copy of it in the box along with the ingredients.

The drawback, I suppose, would be the sudden voiding of most people's recipes.

I always figured the sending system was a mental conversion deal. If that were the case, it'd probably result in a lot of static and equipment damage.

I don't think it would be too tough to recognize recurring cases of buddy tagging, and EFU:A could really use some way to recognize good players who aren't aiming for the spotlight. After all, good supporting characters help everyone in the long run.

I do think that it would work best as some kind of EFUSL addon. Tagging characters (or player accounts) with notes and a quick positive/negative tally could be an option, and would provide a lot of information. A section for DMs and another for the player could also be handy (Sometimes you just want to say you enjoyed RPing at X, sometimes you want the DMs to know something related to the character).

As a forum, it might be a bit of a mess. Can't have one thread per player/character, can't have private polls listing every character there... But it probably would be easier to implement.

(And a last note on EFUSL... Can there be a lookup and an Active/Secondary/Hiatus/Retired status toggle in there somewhere? Could be good for formulating plots.)

Possibly if the Kingsman set wouldn't try to sell Vasard drinks.

Duelist
Your focus on dueling technique often leaves your opponents unable to land a blow... As long as they come one at a time.

+5 Parry, -3 AC

Insane
You are completely out of touch with reality... And nobody will convince you otherwise.

Wisdom is set to 3, +5 Will

Brute
You're scarred, cut up, and mean looking. You scare small children... And most everyone else.

-2 Charisma, +3 Intimidate

RAGE
YOU ARE AN ANGRY PERSON. SOMETIMES YOU DO ANGRY THINGS.

-2 Charisma, Barbarian Rage 1/Day

Lightning Berserker
Some people get strong when they get mad. You get fast.

+4 Dexterity, +10% movement rate. Replaces Barbarian Rage.

Half-Human
You were always more like your human parent. You could probably pass for one, if you wanted.

Extra Feat, Replaces Darkvision (Half-Elf only)

Diplomatic Speaker
Singing at your enemies? That's just silly... But sometimes violence can be just as pointless.

Replaces Bard Song. +2 Diplomacy, Bluff. Lasts one hour.

(I'm pretty sure nothing here is properly balanced.)

I know that feeling. Most of my deaths cross the line far enough to be funny, but I bet that'd probably fade after a good two years. I'm sure I'm not alone in hoping someone puts up a 'how to not die' thread somewhere soon. I'd like to see level six outside of an ineffective ranger leech.

Also, yeah, for what it's worth, Felix was pretty cool, for the short time I saw him doing quests alongside the Brotherhood. Pity Tei plays silent half the time. =/

Hm... In that case, I guess I should make a formal poke to get the subrace lists fixed at some point, or at least a 'Subrace Fav. Classes don't work' pasted somewhere handy. Thanks anyhow.

Hmm... I've got a suggestion for this. If there were some kind of item storage possible, like a safety deposit box, with a small charge attached to deposited items by weight or somesuch to avoid excessive usage.

The whole death style in EFU reminds me of Diablo, where it was standard procedure to keep a spare set of gear, so that you could fight back to your corpse and get your primary stuff back. While it probably wouldn't be used for that here, a sort of stash would make a lot of sense, both for vendors with store inventory to think of, and for seasoned adventurers who know better than to take every object into every situation.

Short addition to that. The PnP summon spells pull celestial/infernal creatures from their planes. Said templates bump their INT score up to 3, the minimum for player race intelligence (normal animals have 1-2, and mostly function off of WIS). So by running it over traps, you'd kill an aligned animal of humanlike intelligence, and chances are it knows exactly what you did to it, but probably can't understand the complexities of why. I'm not sure how much the summons in NwN altered that, but if EFU is set in the same lore, it should, RP-wise, function the same way, which makes for some fun.
