Never did the Duerger Q, but would like to mention that I often see on some quests the "archer solitude-ness-ish" tactic.

One stationary archer gets attacked and he fires back and the other stationary archers are picking their noses.  The party will then pick off one at a time.  Vrudash thinks this is lame-O.  Either the party should force them all to attack at once, make archers more aware of their surroundings or bring in gongs that some fool can hit that will sound the alert for the others.

Off-topic Discussion / Vrudash Hogshurd is dead fwiw
November 04, 2009, 06:15:29 PM
Vrudash has died in the grand Mortorc attack.

Playing Vrudash was a blast and I hope those of you who had a chance to interact with him had fun.

There are no screenshots as I usually have no time to consider such luxuries.

5 people/groups actively enlisted Vrudash for fulltime employment.  Playing a character who is obviously made to support and serve, with no questions asked, does play a big part of people wanting you around.

Sometimes he got all of the loot from a quest because he was promised all of it before the quest began.  Sometimes he got nothing as he stood there and waited for someone to tell him to take something, or what to take.

He was in fact not very bright but high wisdom and luck kept him alive.  Vrudash was not good at talking, but better at parrotting others.  Not understanding or trusting the sending system also was his downfall as he did not know why half the server went to the bridge to meet with a halforc.  As he stood in front of the defenders on the wrong side of the bridge and without any buffing, he died rather quickly.

In the fugue he pleaded his last requests for his Master to take him but RL dinner interrupted so one can only hope that Orcus took his soul to torment.

Vrudash do what Vrudash told.

:p
