This is a pretty cool faction. If you want the kind of dictatorship warlord types this is a great faction. Just remeber it's L before the E, so disciplined or lawful characters will fit best. (These guys are not going to share brewskis on a friday night :P)

Still if you are new and looking for a group this is a great pc group. I've seen them rp and it's good rp. Bane is a fascinating diety, and there really is a ton of faerun lore about him. So if you want to learn faerun, this is also a great faction for that. :)

I've seen plenty of people be interactive, and have fun and remain social while not always being the leader.

Pretending everyone is a leader with cha 20, and tons of followers is silly and boring.  There are always followers, leaders and others.

I'm just saying there should be variety.

If you make a Druid, you should not be found in the Zigg at all times, that's part of being a druid. Same as if you roll a Stargazer you won't instantly be around 20 other pcs.  If you want to make friends, and be social, make a bard.

I think a druid quest would work just fine.

Similiar to the wizard only 2-7 quest you created over in east ruins. This would be similiar but just for druids, or rangers/druids or some kind of nature alignment.

Some druids should have followings but to think every druid should is silly. Several faerun druids in lore, video games, and books are hermits. They don't all tromp around with a royal troupe.  Not saying none do, just saying not all of them do.

and as a side note and maybe I am way off and this dosn't belong here but

QuotePaladins don't get XP for upholding their oath. Bards don't get XP for singing or using their creativity to come up with interesting stories to share. Druids don't get XP for walking the land and tending it.

I mean sure, I get it's a dangerous place, and combat is key but honestly there is to much. I see more and more and more people just running quest lines from dawn till dusk, which I think is also not what this server is about.  Combat is good, Group Combat is great, but there should be more to being level 8 then knowing where to find the highest amount of exp quests and making a awesome build.

I'm not saying you need to start rewarding 1000's of exp for these things.  Yes I know dms reward small exp when they can. Still, small placeables that added flavor and provided I dunno 10 exp, 20 exp (basically the same you give for exploration) would not kill the power balance, and would allow more pcs to get in touch with what there characters do. Yes every class fights, but they should do more then that to.

Just my two cents, I know i'm new. ^^

No this Faction is very cool, and seem to only get cooler the more people that join it. So feel free to turn in a app.

General Discussion /

Alot of people equate great player to great in combat, and it's just not true. EFU is a hard combat server so pvp builds or combat builds just tend to last longer.  However I have some seen some very good, weaker builds that rp to top quality.

Involving people is key, and that is not always beating them up. Laeris tries to invite others on her quests. Norik is always inviting some new face on a adventure into glorious battle. Nimawyn is always chatting with someone. Draig is always making a ridiculous sending. Just to name a few pcs I know. Evil pcs are just evil, they always exsist.

The key to being great is not being strong, popular, in my view the key is to have fun. If you do, and I see that fun in your character, that's someone great, and that's someone I want to adventure with.

alignment

I think it is far more interesting to truly earn your alignment the hard way.

I mean there are so many gray areas, and it is much more interesting to see a paladin try to explain why a evil person is with them, or talking to them etc.

I'm sure a dm would grant it if justified.

Plus the 500 exp penalty depends. Sure that's high up if you are high up, but if you start and your level 3, it dosn't take that long to get 500 exp in my experience. Though I only know the lower levels.

Bug Reports / Dropping tonite
September 29, 2009, 04:21:08 AM
So I have played the server just fine for several days. NWN runs fine, I have a high end system and internet.

Anyway tonite the server keeps seeming to time out on me.

I keep getting Server Response Timed Out. It's only with EFU, I tried other servers worked fine.

22 other people are on, so clearly it's just something on my end. I don't know what it is, or why, I had been playing for like 2 hours and it suddenly started happening.

I'm not blaming anything just looking for advice.
