I've decided to retire Knute, at least for the time being. I have other things I'd rather pursue. Have fun!

I'm curious, how would this effect mauls already ingame that PCs carry, DM loot or otherwise? While I see the point made and don't argue with it, suddenly carrying that much more weight would be a rather large pain for established PCs to have to deal with. They'd have to drop a lot of gear that maybe they aren't prepared to.

I put Tyche in on creation, then tried to set using the chooser in the start area because it instructs you to do so. Though when I logged in I got a message that Tyche is not a valid deity. Just trying to keep everything I did clear so in case this is a problem that needs fixing it's all fully understood.

I thought of Acacia, but I'm not so sure how thomas was able to select Tyche as I looked on the list and didn't see it. Perhaps I missed it, but it gets confusing that both Tymora and Beshaba are still there, when they probably shouldn't be.

I chose Tymora since it was on the living deity list on the chooser, but it wouldn't allow me to cast spells then. A DM set me to Beshaba, same issue. Once set to Waukeen it works fine now, however...

Seems to me that the issue is that Tymora and Beshaba are tagged as dead gods, as should be the case, but Tyche was never added to the list of viable deities, so you can't make the proper choice.

Quote from: Letsplayforfun;385698Could be only a few mineable crystals in open field, but once you've mined one you can't mine any other on the same reset.

And located near a critter spawn point.

The issue with this is that after a reset people would charge out to find them and they'd be gone inside an hour, likely to the same basic set of players each and every reset. Only way I see this working is if they're somehow attached to randoms, so they spawn over the course of a reset.

To me the whole point of this kind of thing is to help those who might be struggling supply-wise to keep afloat. Any implementation that works in such a way that those PCs won't benefit isn't desirable, and will just mean more profit for those who employ a more MMOish mentality. Better off without any kind of mine at all than one which will reward a select set of players who really don't need the help.

I haven't seen a trial in a bit, but what struck me about the ones I did see is that the accused was never allowed to speak in any way in their defense. I know if I was on trial this would annoy me no end. Here you are, looking at the possible end of your PC, all these others roleplaying around you and you have to just sit there in silence.

Certainly, you do have to limit a bit of the accused (in some cases) will just rant on. But I feel it does a disservice to the player who helped create the courtroom roleplay that many enjoy for that player to be left out of that roleplay.

To me that's the biggest thing. It would be miserable to be excluded from the roleplay leading to the end of your own PC. I'd probably have a hard time even paying full attention to the proceedings.

I'm bumping this because I really do have some cool things coming up! It's tough to play a nature PC, but the challenges should be embraced and it will show people a side of the PW they haven't yet seen. If you haven't played a nature PC this chapter, a player group such as the Queen's Court can show you the ropes.

Stop in at #icequeen if you've got interest.

I don't know that many people realize how up for grabs just what the Wayfinders would finally become was in the early days. Characters as complex as Zsigmond and Charlene go to show that allowing events form your concept and goals will often mean that your PC's exploits become part of the setting. They are more than just transient personalities passing through. It was fantastic to be able to be a part of that.

A longer span of time would encourage the druid to bring allies with them, as well as the one trying to interrupt doing the same, thus making it more of a group event than a 1 v 1. Right now most of these rituals are being done solo (not all, but most), and I don't know that this is preferable. It should be an event that creates roleplay for several players.

There's at least one underwater wildshape available.
