I think the main issue is that you can't use Mage Armor at all and gain benefit from it in wild shape.
I could be wrong but it looks like, when you look over the different shapes, even the ones that are "tank" shapes-
Their AC seem to have been balanced taking into account that you will use mage armor to get "good/decent" AC.
As it stands your AC will always be terrible. Perhaps not for the level 2-5 2-7 quests, if you pick the things that has OK ac.
But even their ac will be nothing while doing higher level things due to their base being so low, and your inability to raise it with mage armor.

Second. This is, potentially, very crippling since it limits the druids from being on the direct frontline, no matter what shape they pick. (Not counting the app shapes which I know little to nothing about.)

(Disagree with unlimited shapes though.)

Keep things hard please.
This quest has been rewarding everytime I've done it.
Don't encourage another potion bloat..

Seems to be fine to me, perhaps still a little too much.
Definately moving in the right direction though.

This seems like a self-serving, bad idea.
I'm pretty sure many, including yourself, has been against this suggestion in the past.
The winds are changing I guess.

Expect to get mercilessly killed from now on when "mobbing" up.
If my fun intrudes on your fun. Too bad.
I shall taste your tears on IRC.

Zaltoro's Ascent?

Raid on the Bogs?

Withered Bandit Camp?

Have you done these?

They are short, sweet, and a boost to supplies.

Yeah. Zaltoro's Ascent would be 20-40 mins I guess.
Raid of the bogs. 15-20mins?
Withered bandit camp. 5mins?

These three quest should be plenty of "short action".

I think the idea is that once you're 8+ if you want to get supplies and gold you need to try the things where there is a tiny risk that you'll die.
Most of the quests have had their rewards increased in terms of exp and some seem to drop more loot/potions than before.

Someone who is content on not doing anything that takes a bit of time and might, if unlucky, involve death should probably stick around level 7.
Gnolls and Shadow Canyon comes to mind.

Whenever I play a criminal and have been in a large fight I tend to turn on FD if I see a large ganksquad coming out that had nothing to do with the first encounter. Oppertunist should know the risk of death.

Perhaps giving this quest, similar to what it was in EfU:A, a gold reward in some way. I'd put this quest under the same as Orcs Part 2 and Brood Hive and neither of them give any gold worth mentioning. So adding gold on this may get more people to do it since everyone may not want or aren't able to do Mist Ogre, Kants Realm or Coral Cove to get gold once you pass level 7.

I haven't experienced any of this myself, is this some kind of new trend?

This has been up as a discussion ever since the first time this quest was implemented. Everytime a removal has been suggested its been stated that the summon is intentional and not something that's been forgotten or overlooked. (I do agree however that for the unprepared that thing can be a royal pain in the ass.)
