I don't quest that much, but have done a few quests under the new system.  While I thought it did add to the 'realism'  I didn't like 2 aspects:

(1) As others mentioned, it felt very lonely to me.  I very quickly missed the feeling of 'teaming up' that simply comes from having a list of portraits at your side.  (Even though I very, very rarely use Party chat for anything)

(2) I think it is a hurdle for new players to the server.

I do appreciate the work, but it doesn't quite suit me personally.

Gone for the weekend, and probably a bit sparse next week (work is going to be killer).

Thanks Naga, that's what I've been trying and it doesn't work.  :S

Am I the only one having this problem?

Quote from: "Strife"Have you tried "/c setally" without any name?  I recall Mort mentioning this functionality is already there.

I tried this and it did not work (Unrecognized Command)

I am not sure, but it could be a personal bug.  So far I have been unable to add / remove individual allies (it always gives Target Not Found), and once it set a nearby hostile PC as an ally when I used the Nearby command.  Probably these are all separate issues.

Quote from: "The ImpossibleDream"Keep in mind setally is best used for people you won't be pvping. It has no effect on "parties" for quests and once you set somebody as ally it persists through reset there after.

I actually didn't realize that.  My problem was related to setting nearby people as allies when walking around potential PVP areas, so that if we are ambushed and we need to start hostiling people, they are already included.  I guess if I do like you say and hostile in advance it is covered, but that seems a little more complicated than necessary.

I enjoyed Praxes.  He pushed me in a few ways, and it was great.  I wish I had come up with more ways to interact with him over the long haul.

Edit: Also love that exile screenie.  Such a great scene.

Taking a break for the weekend. No forums either.  Consider everything on hold, and please try to stay alive!

City Slicker:
You are accustomed to crowded places and use this to blend right in.  Unfortunately you haven't spent the time outdoors to translate the skill to the wilds.
+2Hide/+2 MS City, -2/-2 Wilderness

Combat Medic:
You've spent much time tending wounds in the heat of battle.  It no longer phases you.
Increased Healing DC during combat does not apply to you.

Quick worker:

You keep your head down and mind set and can turn out more work in the same amount of time.
Extra 2 uses of alchemy/herbalism/etc. equipment per day.

Photographic Memory:
You remember the places you've been and faces you've seen down to the smallest detail.
Creates an undroppable map of one area of your selection, as if you've used mapping equipment.  Can swap out this map for another once per reset.

Iron Boots:
You have the feet of an ogre, and rarely ever lose your footing in combat.
Count as one size class larger (than you are) when resisting knockdowns.
