Title: Favored Enemy and Repose
Post by: Ebok on April 16, 2009, 07:38:28 AM
Repose Domain
    Feat: Favored Enemy (Undead)
Spells: remove disease (2), death ward (3), undeath to death (5)

This gives Clerics +1 to a couple skills, and +1 damage against undead. Very few of those skills are usable by clerics, and even less beneficial in any tactile way against Undead. One could imagine that the change to Ranger's favored enemies would be applied here, however, that is not the case. Whether this is a Bug or the intention, I'm bringing this to light here.

This domain can be summed up with +1 damage against undead.

That's nifty, but hardly worthy of any real mention. I am suggesting that this domain ability gets the same treatment as the Ranger's alteration to favored enemies. Every even cleric level, have the favored enemy grant the cleric a +1 ab against undead.

I agree.  It's pretty pointless otherwise.

Favored enemy is hardcoded. You can't change the +1/5 levels thing.

Cruzel, the suggestion is to do for Repose, what they do for Rangers FE's. Not alter the hardcoded feat.

Wait, What?

Any other class that has FE still gets the 5 levels + 1 AB.

(So long as the feat is applied at LEVEL UP)

From your suggestion it looked like you were trying to say you wanted it 2 levels/ +1 AB >.>

Rangers get +1 AB / 2 ranger levels. Maybe it's damage - But either way the suggestion is asking to apply this to the cleric levels for this domain since they don't have ranger levels.

Just replace it with a turning bonus like Sun domain or something.

You'll get nothing and like it. These new domains are still horribly OP in my eyes <_<

And here I thought I'd be a pessimist if I warned about DMs thinking that.
