while raging, she wouldn't seem subject to the 50 percent chance of failure. unless all the several times I've tested this she succeeded, it seems that something is broken.

she got blindfight on her, by the way.

Are you saying she is failing to rage, or has a 50% chance to miss?

If the latter, then it's intentional.

Saying it hit every time. Lucky?

Oh, Thomas.

While raging the barbarian didn't miss at all. It seemed to me that she didn't have the 50% chance of missing. Somewhere Tyche is puzzled.

Blind fight further reduces your miss percentile by half (effectively, by allowing you to reroll every failure). So with Blind Fight, you'll miss 25% of the time.

I'm a bit worried that blind fight in this case removes it entirely. Without the feat you are getting the 50% miss chance that is proper.

Looks indeed like this isn't working out well. Back to blindness soon :(

Perhaps put in a disclaimer for no blind fight and leave it the same?

Give the weapon the property to cast ghost visage on target?

The recent change was a step in the right direction.

Rather than reverting it to the old version, which makes the perk flavourful but unplayable - I suggest one of the following :

1. Implement the same design in a different way :  reduce the AB of the barbarian while raging - this will increase the "miss chance"

2. tone down an another aspect of the perk : Take out the perk's DI altogether, remove extra feats, decrease AC further, and so on.

1: Reduce AB, yes.  Have it so that the strength bonus from rage doesn't increase AB, only damage, carry weight, etc.  Remove immunity to fear and give a huge bonus vs fear instead.

2. Wtf, no.  Why?

I think a hefty reduction in AB combined with large bonus vs fear instead of immunity would be a good solution.

Quote from: TheTurboNerd;375636Blind fight further reduces your miss percentile by half (effectively, by allowing you to reroll every failure). So with Blind Fight, you'll miss 25% of the time.

Just to clarify this, blind-fighting effectively squares the effect of all concealment (reducing 50%  to 25% and 10% to 1%). Furthermore, it negates all attacker miss chances (e.g. from blindness or darkness).

Which is why the 50% miss-chance added didn't effect the OP.

You are both wrong. Attacker miss chance is removed entirely through blind fight. Concealment, on the other hand, is squared. That it removes attacker miss chance is what caused the problem with the new change.

Interestingly enough, with blind fight you are only suffering -4 attack penalty, penalty to skills and inability to target creatures that are not near you; when using Mad Berserker's rage.

As this also is no suggestion or general discussion post, I'll close it. The unintentional feature was resolved. The perk is back to blindness.
