It's entirely possible that I play too many wizards, but I'd love to see EFU expand the system beyond its current limit of "one alternative familiar per vanilla familiar"
If this is something desired (or even possible) it could be really neat to see! I know I've heard something before about how this might be possible for DMs to do on a case by case basis (for an app or something) but I was thinking more as an expanded set of base choices, maybe something in creation where you can pick from a bigger list, or even a system where wizards can "claim" some low-level tier of creatures as familiars!
It's easy to imagine an expanded list including a lot of setting specific stuff like *STREET TURKEYS*, glow flies, cats, and dogs, and probably even weirder stuff, like shadow things and undead pet-animals, etc.

It's certainly possible to expand the list, it's just that there's some differences in opinion about what familiars should be, and what they should be able to do.
