I created this character as an introduction to the server, trying to find a way to play a necromancer that wasn't just animating bones, but tied in with discovering more about the lore. (And also low conflict since I'm terrible mechanically)
I started with a few preconceptions and a basic background:
[hide]Daughter of a necromancer robber-baron who made a home in the borderlands of a kingdom. Her father was rightfully burned alive by a mob of serfs when she was a teenager and she was saved by the actions of an unknown 'heroic' knight (a mindless animated corpse wearing armour attacking the nearest source of life). She was able to find safety in a nearby city with distant relatives and made a living comfortably using her education as a scribe while secretly studying the scraps of her father's work.
Over time she became obsessed with the metaphysics of the soul and started trying to find ways to use the spirits of others as a means to fulfill her petty desires (Enjoying life's pleasures for perpetuity in safety and comfort). Failed attempts to eat or absorb the souls of the poor have further skewed her viewpoint, made her erratic and impulsive as well as subtly corrupted her appearance.[/hide]

More power will make me safe
Anyone who saves my life at risk to their own is a gallant hero who I shall do my best to help in every way
Common people conceal a monstrous nature that comes out when they gather in groups
Mobs of commoners are terrifying
Ticker Town is full of commoners with no direction
Undeath is an undesirable state because it numbs the senses and takes away all joy from life
If you say I can have something, I can have it
There is a secret power hidden in the nature of the soul with which one can live with youth without sacrificing the joys of life.
This involves collecting and eating souls
A god's power comes from eating souls. If you die, a god will eat your soul.
This is terrifying, but waiting merely delays the inevitable.
Better you at least be spared from this fate with sacrifice, they're already doomed anyway so there's no harm.
The bounds of chivalry protect me. Play the damsel.
Life is meant to be thrilling[/hide]
She latched onto anyone that seemed unlikely to kill her for what she wanted to do and stood by them devotedly, which strangely enough was what lead to her death. She also developed a siege mentality over time as threat after threat came and went. She initially joined Velstra in admiration of Catsby then heard about Krin Haliax and the open-minded Orzans and thought them the hope of the Ward, eventually turning after her last Velstran friend died.
She was commonly known as an elf-friend and campaigner for elven rights.

10/10 good pc
Man! I wish I had more interaction and conversation with Niven.
She was a curious sort, and I admire that in characters. People who are constant and diligent about their work and hobbies. I sort of wish I had been around for the wedding event too, but happened to be busy at the time.
Still! Niven was awesome. Thanks for playing her!
When times were had grieving over Muggs death and putting him to rest alongside Niven were really some of the first interactions I had with Niven. She was great and look forward to your next one RNN.
Amazing PC. I expressed my feelings better in discord but she made Muggbert a fun PC to play in the dead hours when it was only you and me online, and I was excited to get to know Niven better on a more serious character. I had some big ideas that sadly won't get to happen, but we're all glad to have had as much Niven as we got. Great PC, and everyone I've ever spoken to thinks so. Well done. I can't wait to see more.
Sorry it took a week to finish your heraldry. I was working on it the whole time >.<
A wonderful character. Seemed to have her fingers in all the right pies and was a joy to interact with. Will be missed but warmly anticipating your next
A great PC, exactly the kind that EfU needs more of! Well done and thank you. Sad to discover she's gone, I was looking forward to more RP, intrigue and development. I hope for that on your next PC instead. =)
I still remember that conversation between Niven and Krin, and how Kaspar described it in his journal. Niven was a really great character!
Cheers!

I'm a bit sad that I never got to spend more time with Niven, on any of my characters. But c'est la vie.
Hit me up when you got your next concept? ;)
