Title: To Hunt the Wretched and Writted
Post by: Random_White_Guy on July 09, 2020, 05:16:43 AM
Hello!

In an insanely unplanned and unpredictable turn of things a new Guild is being formed in TIcker Square expanding on the already present but widely unrepresented Worshipful House of Righteous Murderers. Contrary to the beliefs of many the House isn't a place one goes to raise Bounties but is instead one where individuals who, with enough incentive and groat, can effectively remove legal protection from specific targets. It's a brazen, shady, underhanded, and morally objectionable move but it does lend itself to a really interesting kind of RP for what can be brought to the table under the new laws.

[hide=Background (Non vital but helpful for context)]Beauxregard Winespill of the Silver Hats returned from the Mongrelwoods to find his brothers and sisters in arms indulging heavily in Ticker's Blade Boom. After his expulsion and banishment from the Open Door for plying a visitor with narcotics he returned to the Peerage Ward. Given his Father's reputation he was invited by Baldrem Blackram to present his research and findings to the Bannerhouse's Council as at the time no active Inquisitor was holding cowl to "Prove he was worthy of his blood and seek legitimacy". Regrettably he would perish to Recondite some days later. When Beauxregard presented for the next active council meeting however he was turned away as he was no Retainer. Instead he would try and compile his own network of Retainers and Royal Court apointee.

The Order of the Black Ram (https://www.efupw.com/forums/index.php?topic=698536.0) would be named in Baldred's honor as one of the few people to actually support his ideas in the earliest days of his return. It began as social salon among Peerage Retainers and the Anthophilous Society Club Room built around his company of drinking companions. The first official meeting taking place during the attack by the Copper Torc upon Wanda Webber's Shop. While Ticker burned the Peers schmoozed and took refuge within. As most high society efforts though it resulted in little more than armchair theorizing and heated debates but little traction. A fair deal of noise raised to little avail blaming Ticker's dwarves for the recent Mutations of trolls in the 95th ring, sporadic proof of Vampire hunts, and slain Lycanthrope.

In the wake of the infamous Velvet Wedding (https://www.efupw.com/forums/index.php?topic=690985.msg724892#msg724892) his reputation in the Peerage is in absolute shambles. In a drunken stupor to raise money to survive his new Ticker life he sold his fine Webber's Wonders Waistcoat and used the proceeds to secure position alongside Knecht o' Kills and the Son of the Seventh at the Worshipful House of Righteous Murderers. Unifying hunters of Monsters and Man, within legal confines of the Clockwork Accord.[/hide]

The Hermetic Order of the Black Ram will be establishing itself as a service guild in supplement to the Worshipful House of Righteous Murderers. In a number of IC capacities, majority of which can be found out in game, PCs who are interested in Monster Hunting or Bounty Hunting alike can find traffic and fun alongside our pursuits.

The fundamental operation of the faction is of course, Righteous Murder. PCs who wish to dip a toe into PvP can definitely find such here but it is in by no way mandatory to be involved in Guild efforts.

Furthermore there exists a lot of opportunities for potential character roles which i'll detail in the next post.

Alignment: Non-Good
Race: Human preferred but other possibilities exist
Class: Non-Druid, Non-Paladin

The Hermetic Order of the Black Ram you can consider as a one stop shop for all  House of Righteous Murder related activity. While the NPCs of the House provide context, information, ambiance, and spooky terror the PC faction itself is more of a supplemental service.

For example if William the Weaver is in a quarrel with a local merchant boss who has been for various reasons sullying his good name he discovers Adam the Accountant was behind the overture. Directly confronting Adam could be risky with parliament votes upcoming but a strong message could be sent if the middleman removed.

For a large sum of money a one day or for even more eternal writ could be purchased. But then what?

Enter the Order and these many fun potential concepts.

Alternatively if WIlliam is more than happy to do the deed himself and reap the rewards himself there's still possible aid that can be provided by the Order.

Beyond these obvious PvP options there's also a great many PvE and DM-oriented opportunities which with some PC effort can be brought to fruition.

Interested parties are welcome to reach out to me on Discord (RwG) for existing or new character concepts.
